I tend to play mainly within my comfort zone of a $5 buy-in, but I'm planning to up the stakes as confidence in my game grows.

What's the biggest buy-in you have ever paid for a tournament?

And what has been your biggest win?

well

Well i would have to say that my biggest buyin was back when AP had the 100k guaranteed and the buyin was $150 plus $15. I think now they changed it to the 200k guaranteed tournament they have every sunday now i think with a $500 buyin now. Anyways i only mention it because I was the chipleader for a while until about the 3rd hour and i just got over anxious and busted out on 2 hands. LOL when i look back on it though i get so pissed knowing i should of made some big money that night with first place being i remember 26 or 27k . it wont happen again i promise

Thats similar to mine. I'm strickly $5-$10, but awhile back I got the urge to play a pokerstars $55 sng (Way above MY bankroll). I did that twice. squeeked in the money the first time by playing super tight and scared. The second time I won it, taking down $225. It wasn't my biggest win, but the biggest buyin/win.

My biggest Buy-in is in a Live Tourny - wsop $3,000 No Limit (got entry by winning satellite) and I cashed.

My biggest Wins are also in Live Tournys....Twice I won live MTTs that paid $50,000

Online, my largest Buyin was a Full Tilt ME for some series they were having (cant remember which for some reason) where the buyin was $500 and I won it in a satellite.

My largest Online Win was at royal vegas Poker few years ago where I won their Big Sunday MTT for $20,000

Won a $55 MTT buy in once, with about 80 players registered. Cashed about $1000, I think. I don't remember exactly, was 2 years ago.

One time I played in a $2 sit and go. It was crazy i won almost 5 bucks! lol. in a real game I bought in a tourni for $10 played for 5.5 hours and only won like 15 or 20. If I held out one more player i would have made 45. I was happy but so so sad.

Nice. It's a great +EV to have a 400 guarantee when the actual prize pool would be 285.

In tournaments I am rather weak.
Through the selection has made the way on tournament with an entrance fee 30+3.
My big prize was 69 dollars.

True. It's really just like a $115 added, nothing to write home about, especially when you look at the great buy-ins here, but it helps!! Like you, I enjoy a good HORSE game, probably why I signed up really. It's HORSE tomorrow night here too, for the variety game - hope I can make it.

nothing to write home about, especially when you look at the great buy-ins here

The great thing about poker is so many people have the opportunity to start at low buy-ins and move up to the top.

I know many people that started with nothing at the lowest levels, and have moved to the largest MTTs available.

Just depends what you want to do, and what you feel comfortable with. Lot of people wouldnt want to waste a lot of money putting it into a big MTT and would rather just play small MTTs and have a good time.

Biggest buy in was $50 at Doyle's room and took in about $225 or so. Can't quite remember it's been so long.

I did do well in two Ferguson's. Took 2nd in Razz and 5th or so in a NL one. A nice return for a $1 investment.

My biggest win and buy in was in a Live Charity Event in Lake Tahoe.
$500 buy in and a 5th place win for $1500.00
So I got a tax deduction, room and meals for the weekend at the Hilton and some money to a worthy charity.
(Also won about $300 the night before at a cash game)

My monthly live game is an $80 buy in and I have won it twice last year for about $650-700 each time.

On-line a $5.00 CC event with a $164 cash
