do you use any lucky amulet to play poker? Do you have a superstition regarding luck or bad luck in the game? I always use my St. George chain as an amulet and I have nothing to complain about.

Well there's no such thing as lucky amulet (or (bad) luck in other words), it only gives you the illusion of an extra advantage which provides confidence around your games which in reality could boost your success rate due to the positive mindset.

Is St. George the saint of poker? Tho shalt 3-bet.. I use nothing myself. I have been thinking of taking something but I always forget.

Although since poker is largely a mental battle, it's understandable that some players would do whatever they can to arm themselves mentally, including the use of lucky charms and amulets.

If you believe in it,,it works. if u don't,it won't.

I have a poker chip with the picture of my granddaughter on one side and my dog on the other. Just seeing their faces while at the table seems to keep me calm.

I have no amulets but I have certain superstitions when I play MTT. Like I shower before I start the session, wearing comfortable clothes. and I drink coffee in the same cup. so my cup would be my lucky charm.

Makes sense that setting a routine with favorite items before playing helps center your mind for an activity that runs on speculation and probability. I like the coffee cup idea.

My amulet is my confidence and positive mental attitude

I could be way off the mark here, but I would think that using a good luck charm could lead to someone playing hands that they really shouldn't be playing because they think they have more "good luck" on their side.

I would rather just rely on plain old math skills and instinct instead.

Sometimes I bring a religious coin my Grandma gave it to me. Lucky on key hands can bring you up or take you down. For example if you have QQ vs AK on ALL IN preflop situation, might be vital for the Tournament.

Lucky charm

I use to have a lucky penny in my pocket. But, I found it really didn't help. So now I just play.

Not really an amulet for poker per se, just an overall lucky charm, a Chinese metal tag (?) with my Chinese zodiac sign etched on it.

I do not use any amulets. All this for me is of no importance. The most important thing for me is a good mood. So, good mood is my amulet.
