Who has not asked himself this question?
At the moment, we thought we would be happy with this game that leaves our life with a bitter taste of defeat.
A revolt takes over our innermost being, at this moment, until we think of saying, I will stop.
But when all goes well, we win all the time we are happy thinking that we are in a paradise and nothing is going to get to our locomotive heads to success
How good this taste of victory, even small and meaningless, is enough to ease our hearts after many lost battles
Difficult to analyze how we feel, to be winning or losing
For many it does not have much difference, what matters is to compete
The question is:
What is your feeling about losing?
Could you say that when defeats happen to you it's the same as going down the gates of hell and everything goes black for you?
And when does win?
Are you light and happy and everything is zul?
feels well out by having in this difficult field and ardúo to have won
show your friends the success, thinking of the day of victory?
For me poker is heaven and hell together
I can not distinguish how far one from another is,Victory and defeat go together, like heaven and hell
The only ones that can separate them are ourselves
When we are playing this game that often takes our peace.

I have played a lot of poker in my time. Online starting on paradise poke, full tilt , ultimate bet etc etc (mostly PLO). Live I played for a living for 5 years, 5 or 6 times a week). I have been staked in big cash games and tourns.

The big problem with grinding out a cash game living is that you are not building residual income. ie. something that generates money for you. You are probably spending days inside, (potentially with some nasty people) while your time erodes away. You will never get that time back, and for me that makes the game hell. Before you know it, your youth is gone, and you've done nothing but sit in some card game for the last 8 years.

I am not a good loser, and I find the aggravation of losing far outweighs the feeling of winning. It definitely stays with me longer. Maybe, because of your advanced skill and ability, the expectation of winning actually undermines the actual event, and dilutes the subsequent emotion.

When I started playing the bad feeling of losing would far outwheight the good feeling of winning, and thats not healthy. Over the years I have learned to avoid making the mistakes that would cause me to tilt, only gambling an amount that Im okay with losing.

My recent paradise with poker was when i turned some freeroll winnings into a nice cash out playing knockout sit n goes on Stars. I get upset easily when i am way ahead pre flop and lose with a premium hand.

It's more of this weird purgatory where sometimes it's amazing and sometimes it sucks.

I do not think that it can be compared - it's more like a competition in which millions of people take part, and everyone can have happiness in their hands and see it in someone else's hands.

This is the wonderful thing about poker ... it can give you both sensations ... if you win a tournament you feel that you are in heaven and if you lose you feel that you are in hell. The important thing is not to think that you are not good at playing poker when you lose because even the best players lose ... just enjoy the game of poker and learn from your mistakes ....!

I had to experience the bitterness of defeat. A few times I completely lost the whole bankroll. After that, I felt the devastation. A few days rest. And then started again. Now I play in several poker rooms are strictly on your bankroll.

For me poker is a hobby and I'm not upset when I lose. It seems to me that any loss brings up character, and victory is relaxed.

More often it's hell for me but only online. Live real games don't seem to cause so much stress.

Definitely like hell for me.

I see AA getting burned time and time again. I may have to change my ways and seek heavenly guidance if it continues.

Heaven in hell.

Like in a song: too much of heaven can bring you underground.
