Can't agree more on that. A friend of mine wasn't so social, but when he started to play poker it was impossible to put him out of his apartment. He did that only for home games or to go to the shop to buy something for eat. He was quite successful, reaching 100NL level, but couldn't beat that and in three years he decided that poker isn't for him.

No I can't, much pressure and impact on the game. Any action of the opponents annoying and introduces tilt.

I think your mood dose impact your game play.. If you can leave that stuff home when you get to the table you may be ok. but good like with that. life comes before poker work on that first..

^^ Very good answer . First sb has to solve his problems , either they're economical or personal or other , then go and play poker , or else he won't be able to concentrate on the game and have good results .

Depends on you. It can be both waste of time/money and a chance to change everything.

If I couldn't I'd have to give up poker. My life is shit most of the time. I live in chronic pain which in itself leads to many complications in itself. I just have to concentrate on my game when I play.I feel I do fairly well but some days are better than others just as in life in general.
