Ok so before everyone jumps on me and tells me it cant be done I am not talking about house wife kids ect I am talking from A single person who olny need around 2k A month to live belive me I have done the math here is my plan.
* 8 25nl tables
* 8 hours A day 5 days A week...yes maybe this does seem extreme but I feel I can do it/want to
So do you think it I can do it?/what type of winrate do you think I would need?

If your WR is 5bb/100 you'll need to play 160K hands at 25nl. With 8 tables you'll probably average 600 hands/hr or 266 hr/month. In other words not enough time. So learn to play more tables or move up. Better yet get a job and play in your spare time until you have enough of a roll to move up.

Thanks just trying to set A min lvl that I can make it obv going to try and make it big-ish but at some point I know I need to come to reality. And ugh getting A job I would have absolutly no clue what I would want to do prob going to take A year or so and grind alot and reavaluate after. Oh I am actualy learning some programing and enjoying it but it can be very frusterating but I guess just like anything else in life if I keep doing it I will get better.Can you tell I hate working for other people?

Well, that's not taking rakeback into consideration. If you can seriously grind out 100k+ hands a month and be a winner doing so, you will be able to hit SNE at some point along the way at which point a winrate of 5bb/100 would actually give you over $2k a month, rakeback included.

However, I don't really think you are aware of what it takes to play 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, every... single... week... and to hit 100k+ hands a month every month of the year.... for only $2k a month.

If the $2k is basically all going to be withdrawn every month for expenses, you will never be building on your bankroll and therefore never be able to move up in stakes. If you can scrimp and live off of $1k or $1.5k a month, then put whatever extra you have back into your bankroll then it will allow you to move up in stakes and make the task that much easier (provided you are still able to win).

Is it possible? Yeah, maybe. Will it be more fun than working a regular job that pays more with less stress and fatigue, gives you benefits, vacation days, and is not subject to leaving you short on rent when you encounter a vicious downswing? Probably not.

Personally, I'm with WV here and that you should probably work for a year or two, play in your spare time, save some money, and if you find you are able to win at 100nl or higher or find you can 24-table and win consistently at lower stakes and you are still serious about making a living from poker to make it happen then.

^ 100k hands @25NL a month doesnt even get you close to SNE.

but yeah- being probably the only person here that does this, i would definitely look to add more tables and wait til youre a bit higher. 2k a month before rakeback is tough at 25NL but it is doable. if you get in 100k hands, youll make around $550/month in RB + bonuses, depending on how you spend your FPPs. so youd only need 1500 a month which is 100% ez game possible- its a matter of what youd realistically avg from when you have heartbreaking breakeven months

but heres my issue. i assume youve just finished school, since you dont have a job and arent sure what work you wanna get into. my question is, why the **** do you need $500 a week to live? thats ridic high for 1 person

According to the way I've worked it out you need to make ~10 dollars an hour for 8 hours a day in order to hit 2k a month. Possible at 25nl but it'll probably drive you insane

It's not that high. Assuming he's living in the UK, that's ~$600 a month for rent, an extra $2-300 a month for food, $300 for bills and $250 for miscellaneous.

^ 100k hands @25NL a month doesnt even get you close to SNE.

Sorry, didn't check it out so didn't realize it was such a gap. Should still be good for SN though, and maybe about 35% rakeback? Then it's still feasible to hit $2k a month with 100k hands at 25nl per month at a 5bb/100 WR.

However, this is assuming a constant 5bb/100 WR and the commitment to be able to actually hit 100k hands a month, every month. We all know variance plays its part in poker, so some months could be just living off rakeback (or possibly even in the red) where other months you might be killing it for like $5k.

That's cuz you live in australia where the conversion rate is almost 1:1. If You live in Europe then $1.00 is only ~60p/0.60EUR
