I thought some of you might be interested in a new variation to try. It sort of combines aspects of draw and hold'em (draw and community cards). It uses two decks. DC Draw Poker.

  1. Each player is dealt 3 cards and a round of betting (so far like Texas Holdem, except for the extra card)
  2. Flop 2 cards (community cards) and a round of betting (like Texas Holdem, except one less on the flop)
  3. Each player can now discard and draw up to 2 new cards in their hands (or hold and keep them all)...and a round of betting. (this is the draw component)
  4. Flop 2 last community cards (basically, turn and river together)...and final round of betting.

The hand rankings are the same, except now there is a 5 of kind...which beats the Royal Flush as the best hand (only possible due to the 2 decks in play).

You can play up to 10 people at a table (just like holdem)...and like holdem, that means with a full table only about 1/2 the cards are in play.

It is strange at first, but the new twist is fun.

I do not really like to change my game form, I play the traditional one without thinking of putting news in my game and end up losing because of this

In modern poker there are many varieties. It is difficult to master everything at once. However, I sometimes play in Omaha. More and more I come across Chinese poker, but I'm still studying in its rules.

Try Crazy Pineapple. I think only Global Poker has it, but it is fun. 3 hole cards, bet, flop, bet, discard 1, turn, bet, river. Pretty sure i got that right, I haven't played a lot.

Hello.
I prefer a traditional NL Hold'em.
Any new kinds of games do not interest me because they are not perfect. I am convinced that all these new types of games have no future.

Hi.
Of course I like the Texas Hold'em most of all, but I have other options:
1. Omaha
2. Horse
3. Badugi
Good luck.

I prefer the classic poker because it is played all over the world. I would hate to go somewhere and is this new form of poker is not played there after learning it.

Ienjoy the following:

5card Draw (once in a blue moon)
NLH (Daily)
Omaha (Daily)
PLO8 (@ least a few times a week)
Razz (love it but don't play much maybe once or twice a month) same goes for the rest
2-7 low draw or low ball forget wtf its called -
Horse and another variant that leaves out razz
Badugi
7 card Stud and & 7card Hi/lo

BTW for all of these I enjoy both limit and no limit.

Haven't payed enough 6+ yet to be proficient at it but its interesting.

Unless what you stated shows up online I doubt I will check it out. But always open to a new game until I play it a fair amount and can honestly evaluate if I like it or not

Will stick to hold 'em, omaha. No variations at weekly game.

With poker variations, comes a dilution of skill, when you increase the number of possible hand combinations, "five of a kind"... Maybe I'm analog in a digital poker world, but all the "new" variations are good for a distraction, something new, but if it isn't broke... Hold em for certain stud, and omaha high/low if I feel adventurous.

The variation downside at your weekly game is when one person demands everybody HAS to play draw, stud, omaha; games they are proficient in, and others aren't comfortable with.

Honestly, I am always looking for options to improve my game. I do not understand why you spend your time looking for new types of poker. All that was needed for the game, have long come up with and before your birth. It is best for you to try and improve your game and succeed as a professional player.
