I was wondering if you can delete your own full tilt poker account? I want to sign up for a rakeback program but I already have a Full Tilt Account, and you have to be a "new" account player to sign up.

Full Tilt's Rules and FAQ only say that you can only have one account active at a time. So does that mean I can tell them to delete my account and sign back up?

Just sign up for a new account under a different email address. It's really easy. Once I had like 5 accounts on there at once, some with rakeback some without. Try it, it works. :bandit:

you cant.
I made a new account, told them about it, and asked to get my old one deleted but they said wouldnt.

They did delete my new account though.

You're using the crazy-in-the-head smiley because you had a bunch of accounts and you still have 2 active...?

I told them about it because I wanted to. I was curious to see if I could make a new account. It worked, I was able to play some games, yay. Then I informed FTP about what I had done and I asked if I could keep the new account and delete the old on as a way of "starting over".

They informed my that I was only allowed to have 1 account and that I was too keep my original one. They dont cancel accounts per request just you can make/have a new one. The other account was canceled immediately and I had the money transfered back in to my original account.

I hear multiple accounts are greatly frowned upon when attempting to cash-out. They might just not let you, seeing you probably broke the TOS and are possibly involved in collusion in their eyes.

Contact a reputable rakeback site and ask them to see if you are eligible to have your account converted into a rakeback account. Depending on how you signed up originally you may be eligible.

^^^^^ This is the exact wrong way to do this. Just contact a rakeback site and they will do everything they can to try to help you (remember they make $$s on your rake too).

That sucks!!! I thought about doing the same, glad I found your post first!

I might have read the rules wrong, but all they state is that "You can only have 1 active account open a any given time." So I e-mailed them and asked them to close my current account and then I would open a new one.......They said no :(. Oh well I'm waiting to hear back from the rackback site anway.

What the rakeback site can / cannot do will vary from person-to-person and site-to-site. A lot of it will depend on how you originally signed up for the site and if you are currently linked to an affiliate (someone who makes $$s off of your play). The best thing anyone in this situation can do is contact a rakeback site and ask. Assuming you're not playing the lowest limit tables it's in the best interest of the rakeback provider to help in any way possible.
