No, not allowed. At least publically.

Chris Moneymaker and Farha talked about a deal during a wsop that Chris ended up winning. So I guess they are allowed?

EDIT:
There are NO RULES in the list of official rules that prohibit deal making by players. However, look at the last sentence of Rule #95.

95. Poker is an individual game. Soft play will result in penalties that may include forfeiture of chips and/or disqualification. Chip dumping will result in disqualification.

When Chris proposed to Farha to make a deal, wassn`t an official deal, nobody knowed only those 2,if the officials from WSOP knew probabily they were sanctioned .Here are the Farha declaration about that : "
Just before we went heads-up, I saw Moneymaker in the bathroom and he said, “Sammy, let’s make a deal.”
I said, “Chris, what kind of a deal?”
“Let’s chop everything.”
He had $6 million and I had $3 million in chips. I said, “No, Chris. I won’t do that.”
He said, “Well, make me an offer.”
I said: “I don’t want to embarrass you with my offer.
Let’s go and play.”

There are actually a few different versions of that conversation, but the point still remains, deals are allowed in poker and in WSOP. Daniel Negreanu feels they ruin the integrity of the game and should be disallowed as do many other players but, there are many reasons why people want to make deals and they are free to do so, it isn't in the rule book and can not be enforced.

Personal experience here, but deals are not governed by WSOP. Any deals that are made are off the felt, unbeknownst to any WSOP officials. Talking deals in front of WSOP staff is pretty much taboo.

In a nutshell, WSOP does not allow deals but there's nothing stopping the players from making an unofficial deal among each other directly.

I think it is pretty much this.

I had a recent trip to Reno and played in a MTT. It was set to pay out 8 places, and at this point stacks were fairly shallow. When we were down to 6 players, since it was basically turning into a flipfest, and to avoid variance we all decided to do a 6 way chop. We added up the top 6 payouts, divided by 6, and the number was set. As this is frowned upon by management, we were "low key" about it and agreed everyone would shove all in every hand until there was a winner. Then we all just chopped the payouts. Granted I was a little weary that someone would try to back out, but it all went smoothly and we were all happy. Would have been nice to have won it outright, but we all chopped for around 2nd place money (if I recall correctly) and I was more than happy with that!:D

I know in circuit events their told it has to be made ofnthe table. They would still play for the ring or in bracelet events the bracelets. In normal MTTs in Tunica in the ones I've been in. We were allowed discuss it at the table. As long as it was.a.majprity agreement they would.do thensplitting fornus. Only thing is if they.keeded.a winner we either had to play for it or give it.to.the chip leader. Say they had a free roll or something

This sounds correct to me from what I’ve heard. I think deals are less likely in huge payout scenarios and tourneys with a very international field—language and culture differences can make communicating what can sometimes get misunderstood among just a group of Americans even more confusing. Large payouts where the poker room won’t assist also necessitate quite a large amount of trust in your opponents.

For these reasons, I wonder if a deal among the WSOP main event final table ever happened in the modern era—perhaps it was more likely in the days of the November 9 when there would’ve been months to coordinate the agreement. It’s certainly more fun to watch without a deal though I think :)
