Hi all.....I just fulfilled one of my bucket list TO DO items.
I saved up and entered the wsop this year.
As there were 62 events and knowing I prefer NLHE events I had to sort through the events.
Another thing I have always wanted to do was watch a live baseball game in the USA.
So I looked at the LA Dodgers itinerary and found that they had 3 home games on 11 12 and 13 July.
Results.... I made reservations for 11 to 21 July in LA and Vegas.
Entered event #26 seniors(lol) at $1000 and the rest is history...
Enjoyed the baseball...it went to 12 innings...enjoyed the poker(well.....)
I slow played my hand and deservedly got beat on the river !!!
I will continue my trip in another time.
cheers

Glad to hear you had a good time... Definately a must do for all poker players is play at the WSOP in Vegas... Too bad it didn't go better but it is all about the experience and enjoying what you love to do!

Cheers

wsop experience

One thing I did was register for the event from Australia before I left for the States.
When I arrived I had to collect my ticket. This saved so much time as i noticed hundreds of players lining up to pay the entry fees .Of course there was special booths for the Pros to enter the tournaments avoiding delays and hassles.
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and kept my seating ticket as a souvenir.

Sounds like a good time. Way to go on following through with a trip to WSOP & playing the Senior's event! (looked like they had a huge turnout for that even this year). I hope to play in it too sometime in the not so distant future.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. Success would have been better but the experience itself is great!

I would love to play the wsop one day. Would be a dream, especially if I got to play with some big pros.

That's a pretty massive field!!!

Don't know when I'll ever get there (I'd like to have enough saved up to play in a few events). Who knows... maybe I'll luckbox some online promo thing somewhere.
By the time I get there maybe they'll have a 'battleship-style' tourney... where everyone on the table is sitting behind their laptops, LoL.

By that time you wont need the laptop, there will be holographic hud displays above each player.

I thought doncaster was a town in north england, wasn't expecting australia.

Glad you enjoyed your trip and thanks for sharing.

Sounds like a good trip, except for the baseball of course can't understand how people play it, never mind watch it. It's so boring and pointless

I'm sure you could win a package by playing satellites. If you budget an amount each month that's small enough not to impact your BR meaningfully, it's basically just a matter of time until you run well and win one.

If I were more into winning live packages, that's what I'd do - and I'd probably try for EPT, WPT, Aussie Millions, etc. outside of the WSOP sattie "season".
