I don't think it was good, if your on a run, it's gone. But at the same time who would not want 4 months to study your opponents.

Been loads of threads on this already, but my argument in a nutshell.

Your opinion doesn't matter. My opinion doesn't matter. Harrah's opinion doesn't really matter, and the players' opinions don't really matter either.

This is all about ESPN. If it weren't for them there wouldn't be any massive Main Event fields, any Moneymaker effect or anything else. So when they say they need to do this to fix their ratings, arguments along the lines of "It's whacky" or "But what if I'm on a run!" don't cut it.

The delay may or may not be good for poker. But ESPN is undeniably Good For PokerTM, and you'd be a fool to mess that up.

Indeed. They achieved this during an election campaign too. One can only wonder what it'd be like in a year where there's less distractions.
