Just wondering if everybody loved this years wsop as much as I did. Couldn't have scripted it much better, and :D should announce more often. His insight and knowledge is key for the unknown audiences.

Very good overall. Probably one of the best I've watched. From Koussef to the final two, it was very entertaining.

I enjoyed it. I do not like the fact that the players get to find out what was folded despite the delay. I know a player can use it to throw other players off in the long run....I just don't like it. I'd also rather have Daniel replace Antonio.

I haven't watched the WSOP in many years, so interested if this one is even worth taking a look at.

Really? Daniel is awesome, especially in his segment with Poker Brat... but the Magician did an OUTSTANDING job in commentary. He pretty much flawlessly predicted everything that was going to happen in sequence, and then provided analysis on WHY these decisions were being made. That would be especially helpful for those who are not as familiar with hold'em a more casual audience he did a spot on job. (Not saying Daniel wouldn't do the same thing by the way, just thought Esfandiari wasn't all that bad, + his chemistry with the guys was good too!)

I agree completely with both of your points. I haven't been keeping up with WSOP. Is this something new, or have they always done 30 min delay airings?

I loved the past November 9. Pace of play was great and there were some great hands. Also liked that they showed the folded cards this year.

It's not that I didn't like Antonio. He was fine and I did appreciate his break down on certain hands. I didn't like him trying to be funny like Norman. Felt forced. Daniel's take is just.....I don't know how to say it....deeper?

enjoyed watching this years coverage and have to agree with what you have said here. His analysis was superb and putting him alongside Norman chad is always a giggle. I do think Negreanu would also do a good job i feel as though Hellmuth doesn't enjoy it that much.

i agree that this year's coverage was the best as long as i have been watching it. players like kassouf and keeting were just tip of the iceberg, the whole thing just jelled well and i'm glad they eliminated the "side event"

its a lottery. Hpw many times do you think the winner was all in and behind in the 8 days or whatever of the tournament.

Fair enough! I thought their chemistry was pretty good, but I wouldn't argue at all that Daniel would be an amazing choice. When Daniel is speaking poker, I believe it is a form of poetry :D hahaha

I re-watched the first day again and the impression that remained with me is
" Why are they wearing tuxedos?"....

One point of contention here as far as Antonio goes even though I thought he was fine.

It's NOT hard to predict "Check, bet, fold". He said it many times and I don't think there was any real mystery as to why. I think any poker analyst could have predicted that action to happen with the same accuracy that he did.

It was a good final table though, I didn't catch every single hand, but I will try to.

It was an absorbing final table and HU was really long but fun except for some of the cringy play from Vayo. Qui was a well deserved winner and showed plenty of bottle.

My biggest disappointment was that Kassouf didn't finish 10th :)

I wasn't very impressed about the wsop this year. To me it just seems like the event is going backwards.
