Looks like Ivey is back on the up side of his see saw, sitting on 89k. Hopefully he stays that way this time (Obviously I have some $ riding on this, that's why I am so concerned with how he does.) Lederer is up to 156k, but the one that stands out is the defending champ Greg Raymer at 325k. I think the reason he is done so well is that no one, and I mean no one, can take him seriously when he wears those glasses, I mean come on! lol. Anyway, still a long way to go, and a lot can happen. Action starts at 2:00 my time, and I plan to help Diablo out a bit with this seeing as how much it would suck to type this all out on a sidekick while I'm sitting at a computer all day between work and poker.

Play today started at the 1000/2000 with a 300 ante. There won't be many available updates until the single handed game play is over when they get past the bubble. No media or spectators are allowed on the floor until this period is over.

Good stuff. I'm having trouble accessing cardplayer. The proxy server that TMobile uses for the sidekick is compressing the information and its coming out all jumbled. It makes no sense. So thanks for keeping the dream alive joshyb.

Looks like Greg Raymer is in final table position. I wouldn't be suprised if he made it again. Kudos to Sammy Farha and Phil Ivey. They are hanging in there.

Sammy Farha is just too cool, it's ashame he is so short stacked right now, because I'd be shocked if he came back, but check this out:

Sammy moves all-in. While his opponent contemplates a call, he asks Farha how much he has left. Farha answers "700,000, but I could be off a bit." The player folds. Farha's chip stack actually sat at $18,000.

They are on dinner break right now. Sammy has a long way to go, and I wouldn't bank on Raymer making the final table. He is in position right now, but there is a lot of time to go. Ivey is jumping up and down. John Juanda is playing very well. After surging yesterday, Layne Flack has fallen off quite a bit. It will be interesting to see what transpires after the break.

Gee I am really suprised he is doing so well.

Great player but watching last years series he had plenty of lucky draws to get where he did.

Perhaps he's a better player one year on but either way a great effort to be as prominent this year again particularly as he would be attracting plenty of attention

This is the second time I have seen someone say that Ivey was jumping up and down. I have never seen him animated in any way at the table. What gives?

lol, its been me both times, and his chip count is going up and down, hence my comment that he is "jumping" up and down. Sorry for the delay, got distracted... :knuddel:

Several developments. My comment that Juanda was doing well... The kiss of death. He lost a big pot and is down to 80k, and Sammy Farha is gone. Still waiting on a new chip count, should be in any moment.

We at cardplayer, only caught the action on the river of this hand but it was still huge. Paul Darden bet $100,000 on the river of a board showing Ah-10d-6d-2s-9s and after much deliberation, John Juanda called. Darden flipped up 6-6 for a set and Juanda shook his head and mucked. He is now left with roughly $80,000. The pot looked to have had about $60,000-$80,000 in it before the river bet.

With the board showing 5-4-4-3 on the turn, Sammy Farha is all in against John Falconeer at ESPN's Featured Table. Farha shows pocket sevens (an overpair and a gut-shot straight draw), but Falconeer has pocket fives (full house). Farha's straight draw is dead, and he now needs to catch one of the last two sevens in the deck to stay alive. The river card is an 8, and Sammy Farha is eliminated from the Championship Event.

Farha finished in approximately 316th place. He will receive $21,070 for his efforts.

Alright here it is. Juanda is at 80k, as I said, but other than that I believe it is accurate.

Raymer is on fire. If he can keep pace, he has a shot. He knows how to play big fields, and also knows how to use a big stack to his advantage

Jeterkid, you had a better chance of winning?!? Give me a break. I'm no fan of Raymer per se, but he has talent and that much is undeniable. He has had strong finishes in a lot of big events on top of being a high-stakes player for a long time before he even won the main event last year. For him to have the chip lead this late in the tournament having won it last year is an awesome feat. There's a lot of poker left to play, but to downplay his accomplishment thus far is foolish.
