It starts today, and I'm in a fantasy league. Please look at this schedule... http://contest.linkrd.com/fulltilt/wsop09/schedule

Each event lasts 3 or 4 days. And starting June 1st, there are even 2 events each day. Now, looking at the player picks, they are all available to choose from for each game. But with the events lasting 3 or 4 days each, there is a lot of overlap. No way possible they could all be playing in several events simultaneously.

So what am I missing here? Are many of them really just playing a handful of games, and I am drawing (picking) dead if they don't play that 2-7 lowball or PLO H/L?

No pro plays more than a small percentage of the games, if that's what you're asking. You might want to look into who's playing which events (or if thats not known then who's played what in the past) before you make your picks.

No. Some will be in more than one tourney at a time. The blinds move slowly compared to the starting stacks in some of these and remember that this is live so there are alot less hands per hour.

Anyone else having the problem of not having the "Fantasy Poker" box not being on their Promotions page? I could have sworn I saw it before, but I put it off until now and I can't find it anymore.

I know it isn't because it's too late, because all you have to do is register your picks before that event starts I believe...

Going to check out the wsop main website and see. Don't know how far in advance they sign up. You can be sure every big name will be there today for the 40k buy-in for NLHE. Surprised, kinda looks like they do the main event first!??!

You mean they run back and forth across the room each hand?!!?   Or sit out a few?

Most big pros will only play a few events and i suppose you can register up until the last minute as well.

I just wish Full Tilt would actually one year manage to get the layout of the League improved.

It seems 'a few clicks here, a few there and how do i get that page to come up??' every year.

But still, its here and the cards are being dealt - weeeeeeeee

Will only guess the big names will be there. I was able to find NO info on who is registered even for the big event today. Yeah, it's a tricky site to navigate. Not real intuitive (like 'enter' tab instead of 'pick').

BTW, shouldn't this be on TV? I have almost every cable channel, where is it?

Yep, saw Howard Lederer do it when I was there in '06. I believe the Limit Hold'Em Shootout was running the same time our Stud H/L tourney was running. Howard was at his table for a bit in Stud H/L, then he would go over to the Limit table.

Not a ton of people do this, plus the schedule is spaced out a bit better than it used to. Whoever busts from the $40K today will probably play the LO8 tomorrow, etc.

Um...no. Watching live poker with no hole card cameras is like watching paint dry. And it takes forever. I watched a final table in the Amazon room where a kid had a 2.7 Million to 300,000 chip advantage and it still took 45 minutes for the shortstack to get eliminated.

The best you'll do for "live" coverage is ESPN360.com and Bluffmagazine.com are showing the final tables of 24 events live on the internet. Not sure if that will have delayed hole card cams or not.
