The $40K's 201 was below expectations (amongst the prop bets by the pros).

Everything else is up though. I think it was a lock for the "Stimulus Special" to sell out.

The $1K Stud H/L I played in during '06 was the largest Stud H/L tourney ever. Price point always drives business. :D

That's nice for Lunkin, his second bracelet. Alittle surprised how Raymer busted but I guess he felt he could get Haxton off his hand, didn't, and oops he was WB. Still a good showing for him.

Still the FT seemed to lack the star power you might have expected. For those of us who follow poker, this is a very nice final table. But for the average joe when this airs on ESPN in July, they'll probably only know Raymer, Forrest, Bonomo, and maybe Haxton.

Oh and how about Thang Luu in the Omaha H/L? Wins the same tourney for the second year in a row and had finished 2nd in the 2007 $2,000 LO8. That's very impressive!

I suppose he could try to win the $10K LO8 tourney on June 7th!

Amazingly in the photos from the event he doesn't appear to have any site patches on his hat or shirt. You'd think someone would want to sign him by now.

I think you can rest assured that I'll have the fewest points. I started to compile my list and kinda quit halfway through...:(

Its interesting that the 40K WSOP had 201 entrants. I had guessed that it would be around 200 because I couldn't think of that many people besides pros playing in an event with that big of a buy-in. Also surprised but glad to see Greg Raymer make the final table.

Crud -- I didn't have either Ivey or the other guy on my WSOP fantasy team. I figured they wouldn't be playing a ton of events (I mean, if you were one of the best players in the world, would you really be playing in a lot of these rink-a-dink $1500 events?)

He won $771K, not a bad payday, but not quite a Mil. ;) The nice thing is he had FT'd a bunch of tables in the past and finally got his bracelet.

Jason Mercier won his bracelet and now is going deep again in the $2K NLHE. He might be beginning to emerge as leader of the POY Race if that keeps up.

C'mon smile Phil :)

I think he was more tired than anything. He was also deep in the $5K PLO8 tourney and was running over there during his breaks at the OE Final Table. Which makes his bracelet win even more impressive.

The POY Race is actually very good right now with Ville Wahlbeck in 1st due to three top 3 finishes in 10K events. Then Ivey and Parker behind him with their 2 bracelet wins. Parker is also in the final 64 of the Heads Up. AND the Series is only half over.
