I don't do this often, but when I do it seems to go well most times. I had 4 7s and somebody raised before me so I decided just to call because I put that person on a pair or a big ace, I knew that atleast one more person was going to call aswell. I knew if I hit the flop right I had a great chance of doubleling my stack. :)

i dont mind the call in position with deep stacks... but usually i like a few more callers, and also something a little more connected, 74 suited isnt all that bad, just need to know what your doing postflop..

but everyone would want to have at least 100 bb to justify it.... you want a loose table too..

yah, read the second post... you would need deeps stacks to justify a call here, its still pushing it though

If he had limped maybe.... but a 3 bet from MP makes this a fold hand.

haha dude that is a disgrace lmfao :p but in my opinion as sammy farha said "now were gambling buddy" if your willing to gamble on a hand like that then you either deserve to go broke or double up. Nice hand.

I got to admit I got very very lucky, but in my opinion that wasn't to bad of a hand. When I know someone has a big hand I like to call with semi-connected suitted cards like J 8, 4 7, 5 2, etc.... and ofcourse I pray to get lucky and hit the flop with two pair, str8, or a flush. :)

Everybody has to play their own game but calling with 74s. Not the right play for me. I think you will lose a lot more than you win.
