want to ask question for how to dealing with wrist pain from using click mouse and keyboard by playing online poker

think about everyday if play 2000 hands, click definitely more than 2000 times, using mechanical keyboard , blue switch, about 15g of pressure force for a single click...

it is a fair amount of accumulated damage for wrist and fingers each day.

As in any office job, this is a professional disease. (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome), every time we develop intense manual efforts or repetitive movements we are exposed to this happening.

The best way to prevent it is to warm up beforehand and have a comfortable place to play (or work :D).

I use a modified Gel mousepad. I had a wife that can sew. So she helped me out and we landed a very comfortable mousepad and feeling of when I'm playing poker, gaming or schooling.it really helps

I had a forefinger joint pains. I bought a computer mouse with a silicone filler - it calmed. but I think, pain has passed.

I do not know what you're talking about. I play 4 to 8 hours at the computer and use a wired mouse. My hand never got tired. My backside will start to hurt more than my hand. Although I'm sitting on a soft pillow.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to deal with the consequences of constant loads. Those. Of course you can buy a therapeutic ointment and rub your joints with it, but ... the further, the more the problem will be aggravated. The best way to fight is to warm up !! Stretch the wrist and joints of the fingers before the game and then with the periodicity in an hour, half an hour.

Switch hands on mouse, incorporate a touch screen, spread out the work load. Wont solve the problem but will slow down the pain progression a lot.

Haven't had problems with wrist but I always mount a vinyl covered piece of wood cut out in the size of a mouse pad to the right arm of my chair every time I buy a new one. I used to hate being slumped over my desk reaching for the mouse. I can lean back in my chair and my arm is always supported from my elbow to my hand. I use a wireless keyboard and do not do enough typing to have any problems with that really.
I think you can buy pre-fab mouse pad holders that clamp on to the arm similar to my set-up but I don't know how secure they are or how long they last but I know I would not want to go back to mouse pad on the desktop.

This is the right arm of my chair I am about to buy another chair because I have about worn this one out :)

posture is more important than the mouse. Your hands should be level with the keyboard not raised. Also you need to be in a comfortable chair and feet flat on the floor. Google how to sit correctly at a computer. I got a frozen shoulder from not sitting correctly and I had to go for physio.

I have a touch screen laptop, but still use mouse most of the time. I have no problems with wrist and I'm online 10-12 hours a day.

I have these pains in the wrist and the elbow because I play on the laptop and I play lying in my bed with him on top of my belly. But if I play sitting I do not feel any pain.

FWIW (I'm not a doctor or anything), strength generally isn't an issue - it's the repetitive nature of the task that's the problem.

Do some wrist exercises to try to relieve some of the stress built up from the same wrist positions.

Try spinning your wrist in a circle, maybe getting one of those hand muscle training things. Otherwise, I don't really have any info on how to help with that.

do some wrist exercises when u wake up. There are people that play much more rigorous computer games without any wrist pain, so it shouldn't be that bad playing poker

So again, it's typically the repetition that's the issue, not strength.

Taking regular breaks from the keyboard and mouse, and changing the position of your hand/wrist while you are working, will do a lot more than strength exercises.

Again I'm not a doctor, but I am someone who's had RSI in both wrists for over 10 years (not originally caused by mouse/keyboard, though it's my biggest trigger for it these days). So I've at least got some experience with it.
