Ok so this is VERY exciting!!! The Argosy Casino in Lawrenceburg, IN is getting ready to have a new riverboat put into place and is going to be called the Hollywood Casino. This place is going to host 41 poker tables and be a WPT room with a WPT $10,000 event every year on the WPT Tour. I heard them talking about this last time I was at the Argosy, however now it is an actual press release!

room to walk, and a big damn poker room! i cant wait to play!

you should. i mean having gotten used to the boat, and knowing no matter what i was in essentially a square so i couldnt get lost, to this which is technically a barge, but for all intents and purposes a land based casino. it aint vegas, but it is absolutely fantastic! poker room is off by itself so you have some slot clanging and banging but not horrible, but its a beautiful room. www.myhollywoodpoker.com some nice tourneys too. 15k on sunday and 7500k on wed night.

I always forget I'm on a boat, seeing how they are so nice and of course don't move..... Actually we were in Caesers (now the Horseshoe) for a wsop Circuit event and there were so many people on the boat you could feel it swaying a little..... I guess that is what you get for having the poker room on the lower deck and hosting WSOP circuit events!

So I went back to their website..... I hate their NL structures.... I guess I'm just used to online structures.... Really 1/3, 2/5? Why not 1/2, 2/4, 3/6??? Oh well, looks like a weekend of tournament/cash games once I get back from vacation.

tbh, its always been that way. they get the business so they do what they want lol. in fact one boat, about a half hour away closed their poker room last december, and belterra, the other boat in the area(not including horseshoe of course) has a struggling poker room as well. so pretty much, hollywood has nothing outside of horseshoe in louisville that is any competiton at all. the good thing though is the players at hollywood have money and dont care to spend it:D

Yeah the Grand Victoria went from about 5 tables to 2 last November. I figured they were going to close their room. That place sucked anyway, they only had limit tables last time and out of the two tables there were only 4 of us playing on one....
