A few months ago I was staking a guy a few times for some lowstakes MTTs and sngs. He cashed a few times for me and gave me 60%, but I probably lost a total of $100 or so staking him. He told me he used to play high stakes on FT but his account was closed and they sent him a check for his BR. He said his account would reopen in February 2008 (all this happened last november or december). He said then, on the screen name he was using, that it was his roommate's account and he couldn't deposit for some reason, so he had $0 in his BR. He told me his old account name that was banned, which had good stats.

Anyway, I staked him for a few small stakes games and he didn't make much of a profit or loss. I talked to him once in a while between then and now, but I figured he was full of ****, but I had a large BR so I wasn't bothered by the small loss from staking him. Then last Sunday I get a message from "K1cker13" who claimed to be the guy I staked, and he was saying "thnx for being patient I told you I'd get u back, did you get it?" I said no, but when I checked my history in cashier there was a $1500 deposit being processed from "K1cker13"! The next day I searched for K1cker13 on FT and he was playing the 1k monday ($1000 buyin MTT) and $525 sngs. Now I've got a $2000 BR :D

steak!?!?!?

Steak = you give someone money, they play a tournament or whatever you request, if they win they give you 60%+whatever you gave them and keep 40% for themselves (these numbers are whatever the staker and steaky set them as).

If he loses, he owes you $0.

Why would there be a ban? he's not asking for staking, merely commenting on it.

Its really nice to hear a good story for a change that has come out of staking, so many times people complain they got ripped off or it never seems to work out.

Congrats on getting paid for your efforts. It don't go like that often:)

Use it wisely!

Yeah and a week before last sunday he was telling me how he would finally get to deposit soon and would have "$300 sent to u by friday", and even if he sent that much it would be more than I lost from staking him I'd be very happy if I got that much. But he ended up sending 1.5k! Obv he's not going to need me staking him anymore since the highest stakes I play are $1/2 NL and now that he was able to deposit and get his account up (weird though, k1cker13 is a new account not the old account he had banned) I've seen him play much much higher stakes.
