Would you play poker illegally, underground poker, if the whole world restrict it?

And another interesting question, what would happen if for example pokerstars, still all the money from players accounts and shutdown the client. How could player from out of country sue the company.. oh i will stop, this is great idea for the movie "Poker's fall" :) P.S. Check out All in (2012) documentary about poker

I do not know how all the players who have a lot of money into their poker accounts, would be on a hypothesis that the pokerstars close their activities.
I believe that the appropriate forum would be the island of man.
but the player would trouble receiving their credits.

Absolutely. Even if it became 100% illegal, I'd still have home games. Can't stop that.

If all casinos shut down, and the internet broke, I might take a break.

poker is already restricted here in the u.s. but a lot of us still participate in local games. Usually someone we know hosts a game and we all come over to gamble. It really isn't that highly enforced by police.

In a lot of states if U have a home game that collects a rake then that game is illegal & I have seen cops bust up home games. So it can be stopped.

I used to play some underground games illegally. They tended to be great games and the people were always nice, but there is a danger of losing your money if the game is busted.

I'm not sure do you know but poker in Serbia is legal only in Grand Casino ( if nothing didn't change in past few weeks).
Everything else is illegall, even online.
99% of players play poker illegalliy.

Basically in a nutshell this was my experience. I woke up one morning and logged onto PokerStars to find out that overnight a bill had passed that made online poker illegal in the US. At the time I had funds on PokerStars and Full Tilt. All my money was basically seized and I had to go through a lengthy process which took me about 3 years to finally get it back.

I did eventually get it all back, however. it took filling out numerous forms and proving my identity several times. This is just my experience however with the banning of online poker at the time.

To answer the original question if it became illegal online again no I wouldn't play except at a few home games and at the casino.

I actually quite like the edgy feel of an illegal poker game. Come on, we all have that wee bit inside us that gets a buzz from doing something "bad" and is illegal poker really that bad. I always had associated poker with dark, smoky rooms after dark. There is an illegal poker room near me and I do enjoy playing there.
