Would you pay 20% tax on your winnings if it meant you got 105% back* on your loses?

* The 105% reimbursement of your loses is paid back in gift cards for online shopping sprees.

NO, tax on gambling winnings is anathema in Australia, and any govt that fcks with that will soon be out of office.

I checked out Tax Dept and they gave me an OK as a recreational player - i.e. no tax but no chance to claim for expenses either.

Becarefull

the old adage when it is to good to be true it usually is. With that promotion there will be issues, internet , gambling and those trying to establish a way for the powers that be. I lost hundreds of dollars when they closed sites in earlier days because it was deemed illegal and never received my deposits or winnings I was pissed. Now am a advocate for the people in these matters

The idea is not bad, but everything should be in accordance with the law! If the law of the country where I play provides for a tax on winnings, then everyone has to pay to avoid prosecution in the future.

Taxes were and will be and from this in the modern world will not go anywhere. But if a return in some form covers the percentage of tax, then the earnings make sense, but an entirely different matter is the size of this earnings)

At us in the country on a gain from 10.000 rubles the 13% tax is supposed. I met this when I won in the lottery))
And so of course an interesting idea) I'm for it))

I'd like to know how it would be sustainable, as most of us lose over time so id think more money would be going out for losses than coming in on the winnings.
