Would you find this suspicious?

I was playing on PS and I won a hand (no, this is not a "rigged" comment) with flush over flush. After I won two people, including the person I beat, sat out.

I took a look at their city and both were the same and it wasn't like NYC or some city I had ever heard of.

So, does this seem suspicious to you, like maybe they are the same person playing two accounts?

Or am I just in a paranoid state early in 2010?

What were you playing? Cash,STT,MTT? If its cash or a STT then I would shoot pokerstars a email giving both of their names and say what tyou said in here they will check it out, by looking at their habits and all.

It was a $10NL table.

Maybe I'll do that. Better safe than sorry.

i would spend min or so to observe the table before buyin, especially a 10NL talbe. As i have heard there are people that get paid to sitin and just to raise the pot. Better keep closer eye.

I just ran in to two "people" in obvious collusion on Full Tilt, in a single table, 1 dollar S N' G. They were both from brazil - it was so obvious they were in collusion as the one player would play very tight, good hands vs everyone else, except the other person from Brazil, then would call only that one person from Brazil down with K high, on a 3 suited, paired board. They would make sure both of them had about an even number of chips throughout the tourney, when one would start getting short, the other would dump chips off to get them up again. They would muscle people out of their blinds then one would fold right after the flop. So obvious.

It was only a one dollar buy in tourney so I didn't bother to get their names - but now that I think about it, I should have, they could be robbing people out of hundreds of dollars a day if they do it enough. If I run into them again, I'll get their names and report.

No, actually I didn't - came really close to - especially after the one called my all in with K-T off, I had AQ and about 8 bb, had no choice but to push - the flop came rag, rag Q - turn rag - river - K - I almost blew my mind, lol....but I was more upset of the fact that I knew they were colluding - I went out 4th,on the bubble - then I continued to watch and they just totally pushed the 3rd guy left right out, stole his blinds until he was short stacked and forced to go all in with K - rag. Then they played about 3 more hands together - went all in a few times, and the one "won".

lol

what a surprise....

It is always a good thing to let support know about these players. The site is always looking for help like this. They do not want a bunch of thiefs to ruin their site for the real poker players. I saw chip dumping on stars and reported it, they said they would look into it and sent me an email telling me they were colluding and the players that they scammed all got money back by them closing their accounts and splitting the money.
I didn't get any money myself, I won the tourney in question. I knew before hand I wasn't getting anything. It was a 5.50 buy in, I kept their names and noticed they were playing more of them.

If you think ppl are colluding you must report it, and if you didnt get the name for some reason, you can always check the hand historys stored on you computer, and if they are not stored on your PC request them.

Wat? Please send me an application since that's what I do anyway.
You, Me and maybe 1 or 2 others:rolleyes:

It's hard enough for poker sites to police the cheaters-any help, no matter the buy-in/limit helps us all.

Don't know if this means anything, but I was playing the other day and two names came up the same except for a number at the end. CashMoney1685 and CashMoney101. I believe they were from the same place. Didn't notice any collusion though.

It doesn't smell like collusion MD - it stinks.

I see alot of soft-playing at the micros, too - The kazachs don't hurt each other, the russians don't either and sometimes I see (and hear in chat)

US, canadians and germans doing the same.

I always report them ....:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

They could have been friends playing at the same table, or they could be one person with multiple accounts. I'd say it is worth sending ps an email and seeing what they say.

Sometimes when I'm playing a SNG and I suspect something but not sure, I make a note on both saying that player X is playing with player Y, and vise-versus.Then if I run into them again and it doesn't feel right I can advise support.
Take care

Why is someone telling you their cards in a chat program?

Please provide some evidence backing up what you just said.

Otherwise, I'd like to nominate this post for both "Dumbest Post" and "Most Pointless Post" within this thread.

I'll second the story about players accidentally sharing their cards in the chat box, it's hilarious. I'm assuming the two villains were using MSN, Facebook, etc and accidentally typed their message into the table chat box. They then went on to post rapid messages making no sense whatsoever to cover it up :p
