I have seen a curious scene during a lady event of the 2010 world series of poker, in the 1000$ buy-in no-limit holdem, about 4 tables over the entire table gets up at the same time, it seems like one of the girls had to use the bathroom and instead of letting her blind out the the other ladies mercifully got up and went to use the bathroom together. The dealer didn't know what to do and was stopped by the floor person because he needed at least a player to return before starting back.

Exactly, if there aren't designated men's only events then there shouldn't be women's only events. Doesn't matter if there are more men generally that play poker, every woman still has the opportunity to...

Everyone should have the same opportunity no matter what sex you are.

This ^ is a joke..... right?
I hope you shit your pants at a live tourney & lose half your stack while looking for a new pair of shorts to wear back to the table.

Who cares if they have designated women's poker events? I think it's great. Gives them an occassion to get together & play in a poker tournament... what's the f'n big deal? (it's not like there's some added prizepool you're being denied of).

Hearing they all got up from the table at the same time in order to save one of them from losing blinds.... I think that's really cool.

Funny thing is that the women's only events are no longer "women's only". Due to discriminatory laws in Nevada, anyone can technically register for the Ladies Only wsop event. In fact, this year there were 3 or 4 guys actually registered for this event, including 1 guy who knocked out this guy at my table yesterday's wife. So if you want to play in a soft field (even though you would also be a giant douche), feel free to register in the Ladies Only event next year.

I think it was a cool thing to do, as long as one didn't rush back and start stealing blinds.... :)

Yes women are good at this type of thinking, men generally hopeless...

BTW works much better if the women bring some beer back for the guys in the room, and some snacks.. :D

What makes you think they're any softer than the men?

Im really not going to make a post about this cause I argued on the 2p2 thread for this and it is a waste of time so I will just post that.

Btw, If I shit my shorts. I dont expect anybody at my table to have any sympathy on me. Its probably already my fault and they should know better than to do that. When the women get up and do that, they essentially are telling the tournament director/organisers that the pre set breaks mean nothing to them and that they make their own rules. You see what I am saying? It can also be a benefit to them if it occurs on the bubble. Unfair advantage against the other tables etc.

Btw, when you read the blog, I really dont want to argue the 'civil rites' reasons, Im just talking about the characteristics that make the women's event a jopke.

Would you all be getting your panties in a bunch if it just happened to be a table full of women at a regular event? :p Male or female, it was a nice thing to do. And besides, everyone knows girls all have to go to the bathroom together. It's chick law...lol.

I don't see why there shouldn't be a women-only event, and it's quite sad that people feel the need to make so much fuss about it. The more women involved in poker the better, as far as I'm concerned. Actually that's one of the best things about CardsChat too, there's a great bunch of female forum members posting on a regular basis.

I would be pissed if it happened in any open tournament. Any tournament that that happens in is automatically a joke.

Agree......It was a nice thing to do for each other. Period.

The pathetic thing is that a group of women acted civilized towards each other during a poker game and some yahoos feel the need to ridicule them for behaving with decency.......Now, that's the real joke....
