One of the great things about poker is the absence of prejudice. When we sit at a table, we face a variety of people (players). Only their actions should matter to us, not their age, not their color, not their height or weight nor their SEX. Serious players who observe a minimum of poker etiquette already know that of course.

If I played constantly somewhere in the championships among many women, then maybe that would affect my game, and since I play online poker and I like to watch how beautiful women play poker, I like to watch in poker broadcasts at the championship when they play women and win!

I truly think a smart woman has the upper hand in live table games. My wife has sat down at tables before and noticed some men look at her as if she is inferior and they treat her differently and play against her differently than they do a man. Watch out for young women at the tables. They may seem young, dumb and innocent but they are sitting down at that table with the intention of take your money just the same as you do with other players. Dont underestimate women in poker.

LOL no, it shouldn't.

Does playing against stinky hairy men influence your game?

How about playing against a cyclops?

Your play shouldn't have anything to do with physical characteristics of your opponent. Your play should be dictated by the dynamic of the play at your table.

Think it is great that now there are more woman playing poker. However it really doesn't affect my game play if there is a beautiful woman at the table as I came to win not find a date lol

Don't get me wrong as most men would love to be playing at at table that woman are playing at versus playing at a table with just "grumpy old men"

Best advice I have is don't ever underestimate your opponent regardless whom they might be.

I disagree with your statement. We should all be prejudice against stinky people in live events. Watch Jeff Boski videos if you want to see how stinky people affect live games. Agree with everything else you say. Women in poker

Two of my most favorite players to watch play are Victoria Coren Mitchell and Kristen Bicknell. Not only because they are both beautiful ladies. They both have unique play styles that I really enjoy observing.

we have to be aware a pretty woman at a table always generates looks and therefore a distraction but here the thing goes if you somehow control yourself everything will be better for you

You will never know for certain who is sitting on the other side of the screen. I am a girl and I prefer poker and us online casino. Although if it concerns me, I do not hide my age and gender since I am married and my husband is jealously looking at my hobby. Can you guarantee that Virtual Joe is not Virtual Jane? As we rightly noted here, we have complete equality))

To be really honest, people advertise poker like a men's game. In my opinion poker is the game of the brain. So if a woman is hard worker enough to get into this community, and make the right efforts for it, there must have been no boundaries to be accepted.
And I also want to mention that they motivate us, in real life as well. Women in poker

Every women must be proud of being a poker player.

Older, They hate to fold to aggression, any ace any colour.
Mid, Cleaver tight
Younger, partying... looking for fun.

But then again, my wife plays tight , aggressive, poker. Good theory poker. Will bluff, and fold.
She finishes in the cash and the older guys hate it, cause the other women fold if they don�t hit on the river, but won�t let go until then, if then, and when the do they loose often to a chased straight or two pair.

She once was heads up for the win, villian had a massive stack. I was on the rail with his buddy.

I told his buddy, who was talking trash, I said, your friend should offer a chop. He laughed.

After about an hour 20, his buddy was holding his head, looked confused, wondering were all his chips went. He was short stack and my wife was leading. Two hands later, he was out.

Women have far more patience.

Insight.

I was playing a $125 buy in, got myself short stack in this little Tourny.

Everyone calls 10 players 800 each, met button, 1010, all in.. they all fold.
Next hand sb, Q 10 o, only button calls, I raise, take down the pot.
A few hands later, AA, dream come true... she was older, sitting about seat 1. 4 callers, I raise big, she calls.
the only caller, flop, 10, 6, 3, o. I was to act first, I announce all in, She , Before I reach for my chips, she�s shoving all in. I think I�m in trouble, she flips q 10 o. She says � I hit� bam...

Some women get very defensive on aggressive poker. I pushed her out of two pots, and she didn�t like it and had enough. Came after me with malice Women in poker

Just sayin.

Watch out for them.

Women in poker:
I play poker and my wife would play slots, slots became a total scam as the money would be gone in 20minutes instead of a small loss over hours. She started playing poker at one of the local home games because old work mates went to the same game. Now we both play in tournaments or cash, we try to stay off of the same table. A local casino has a monthly women’s tournament, I play cash during this time. One of the guys at cash was mouth off about the women’s tournament, saying he was going to sign up, and cause crap. Everyone laughed, as he got up. I said there’s one problem, everyone looked at me funny, I said, my wife is playing in the tournament, if you piss her off, I will hear it for the 1.5 hour drive home. So after you piss her off, I’ll be pissed knowing what’s going to happen. Your going to go out for or a piss, and I would have to follow you to make sure you don’t drown. We all laughed and laughed, he sat back down.

I dont think so, specially in online tables. They have entire potential to become a good player, as long as they have enough time to practice and improve.

Seriously, It is only a distraction if you are not used to playing with women.
Most of us in live games are used to it,I do prefer it over the old regulars, like grumpy old bluffers that get mad at every move you make.
At first i thought maybe this one old grump was doing it to tilt me but i observed after awhile that it was his way of talking to everyone.
most women are less caustic.
