Why some players play micro tournament?

Hi guys, Sometimes I wonder why player like this: http://pokerprolabs.com/reraiserb42/pokerstars , plays micro tournament for 0,25$? His the best results are very good on this level. He won 200$ and more dollars. In this tournament for 0,25$ he can win only about 3$ for 1 place. So what do you think about it? (sorry for my english, but I'm a foreigner)

maybe just to goof around.. maybe to try a different style of play? Maybe to change it up?

maybe he's been letting his girlfriend use his bankroll. apparently that kind of thing happens ;-)

He may have gotten his hat handed to him at the cash tables and is trying to rebuild his BR.

I hate those! It´s the same as freerolls! Everyone push all-in with any combination. :/

hes probably seeing different techniques and methods to the madness. What might work for him that he hasn't done before. Just practicing some new stuff on the tables. Also maybe he enjoys it who knows get him on cardschat

Actually i just saw his numbers and he is just a bad player... he win some money ocasionally and lose all of it afterwards...

really.. he is REALLY bad... look at his numbers, he is a losing player in every single site he plays, ipoker, pkr, fulltilt and stars... see ya

Most of his buy-ins are low buy-in tourneys, not sure why him playing these stakes seems weird. The couple
larger tourneys he's played could very well have been satellites...

Because some people want to learn how to play, and some are afraid of losing a lot of money.

I can see why a person would play a micro tournament if they are trying to build a bigger bankroll.. From my own experience once at about a $15 bankroll you can pretty much play the regular tournaments. I don't understand people playing for hours to win a little when they can spend the same amount of time playing for bigger prizes..

Yeah I think it's for practice.
