Twice in the last week on ACR I have encountered a player who slow-rolled AA on me in an all-in pre-flop situation. The first time, the dude actually let almost all of his extra time roll off before he called. Last night, the dude only let about 10 seconds of his extra time go before calling.

Why would you do that?

I had the last laugh last night, however. The slow roll occurred when there were about 6 of us left and I was the chip leader. The tourney eventually got down to 3 of us and I was still the chip leader. The same dude got AA again and put in his standard min-raise. I had 9-10 suited in the BB and called. The flop came up 10-9-4. I checked and he shoved. I called and knocked his sorry butt out. Poker Justice!

slowrolling is really difficult to do on ACR and almost impossible to on their other skins like pokerhost (where you get 9+7 to decide).

I assumed this was about LIVE. Although I've played with enough ass/bullies that I've opted to do this at least two times I can think of. But generally speaking, like when I finally get to play for high stakes the only person (right now) that I would, without question or remorse, slowroll any significant opportunity is Shaun Deeb. But that is just poker karma. You can easily find probably near 100 clips of him online slowrolling people. He thinks it is the funnest/funniest thing in the world.

The other day I did type out "gg" before calling with the nuts on the bubble against a guy who was a terrible person the whole time to me. Not a full slow roll but I guess a little close.

IMNHO, a true "slow roll" is only on the river or if before would have to be an unbeatable hand like str8 flush, royal flush or even quad aces with no redraws. I can look for the video if you guys want of the ashole who "tried" to slow roll his AA preflop vs a very nice female pro in an important european tourney.

It did not work out well for him! ;)

Obviously to build the pot as the odds are highly in favor of AA.

do that to annoy someone gets you allin your being displayable not see science in waiting until the last second to make the call seems a stupidity because with two AA is simply accept the allin

If it bothers you, then it might affect your play - and that is what he wants.

It's simple, Since AA is considered as the best hand in Texa's Hold'em they choose to slowplay. IMO its bad because id just play it as a normal hand.

like 50-75% of the posters in this thread have no idea what we're talking about.

...it's kinda cute.

A fairly common situation, I prefer a strong hand to play as a strong hand, and a pair of aces is the strongest hand preflop, so a raise of 3 to 5 big blinds then there will be fewer such situations

For good laughs. Sometimes I would do it online just for fun because it's happened to me. I must admit, I get mad but laugh at the same time.

Do the same very often but then I will bluff (that I have that AA hand). Slowrolling will give the other player enough time to think there outs at least twice. Only very good hands will beat me. Other hands like pair high kicker and even two pairs could fold because they would overthink there hand. It can be very profitable

you're not talking about slow playing, right?? you mean when a player waits forever to call even though they know they have every intention of calling, simply for their own satisfaction of making their opponent uncomfortable.

I'm guilty of doing it to players who have been an asshole to me.
