I love to play limit hold em. I play both limit and no limit and have for a while. Over time I have realized that limit is my game. I feel in control, at ease and I feel I play my best. A lot of my friends give me a hard time for playing limit because they are mostly no limit players. I like the technical aspect of the game. Certain hands have certain expectations and saving money is just as important as making money. I feel like limit takes more self control and patience. Any comments?

I started with limit holdem and didn't understand no limit for very long time.
But now I'm no limit player, because it's faster game (as for me).. Still, playing limit holdem just to relax.. and having fun of calling hands like 27

Limit you can get donked out easier but you generally lose your cash slower (if your careful)

NL you can make up a bad run faster in 1 hand, not so much with NL.

Each style has pros and cons, and if Limit is working better for you...stick with it:)

I love no limit and started playing that first. In the last month or so I started playing Limit Omaha and have really enjoyed it. As well as PL Omaha. Can't say I'll stop play NL but L and PL is different and fun.

Limit just sux I use to play the 1/2 games and you always get some donkey playing 92 off and hitting two pair on the river when you had pocket a's or whatever

I'm one of those in the minority about limit hold-em.I love it.The 1/2 Limit hold-em at the local casino is my bread and butter when I go out.I have made 175 dollars some nights off of 30 .It where I cut my teeth on poker and how I learned to read people. You find out things in Limit that help you in NL.Like betting patterns, when someone on a draw,Out and pot odds.I think limit is good for a starters in Hold-em .However I still play Limit holem.I still do well.I love it as well as NL.

I like pot limit, it is a good mixture. I like being able to jam the pot when I have a monster and in limit sometimes I just do not get paid off as much as I could.

Hey, everyone has their own opinion on No Limit and Limit. But as for me, I prefer No Limit because it's the first type of poker I've played and I'm so used to it.

ive never played limit and dont think i can, too slow and probably too many suckouts? pot limit is nice though, saves me from screaming at the players who shove preflop with AAs, not knowing how to play em properly. lol.

I like limit holdem at the higher med-high stakes. But can't stand it a the lower stakes. People will call with anything. At least with NL they won't put their money in unless they have something usually. A little more respect.

I too love limit holdem cash games, Ive tried to play no limit and pot limit but i just wasn't able to play well, i played scared, mostly of that one suckout that leaves you broke, although you won't make as much money playing limit, you won't loose alot, and i rather make a small profit than risk loosing alot, you just have to play smarter and can't expect your pocket AA's to win veryoften in limit holdem.

i like both but prefer no limit. you could get bad cards all game and one good hand here and there could keep you in it in no limit. i like my odds that way.
