Been seeing a lot of talk about this game. Looked up the rules and it seems like a good game, lots of variables and swings. How come none of the poker sites have picked up on this variation? There are Apps for Iphones but no online sites?

I have a friend who plays it a lot - I think the players in those games are probably all very good. (I know she is lol)

oh chinese poker! i play this game all the time. its like making 3 poker hands with 13 cards. 5 on the bottom(has to be your strongest hand) 5 in the middle (second strongest hand) and 3 on top(weakest hand). and u match it up with other players and see how they played there hand. if u beat atleast 2 of their hands you win.

Sounds fascinating but it would scare the living daylights out of me playing a game like this for cash.

Just got an I5, learning how to use it. Got this demo. Looks good. I was confused by the chips paying being shown on both hands. If I'm playing against you and I mislaid the second row then I should be faulted on all three rows... correct? So you would get 3 chips for the fault plus whatever you get in royalties. Plus an extra 3 for the fault. But the screen shows one chip on each row on both players plus a 3 chip on both players plus a royalty on both sides. I cannot tell if there is a color difference showing red for paying and green for getting. Would be much simpler if just the winning chips were shown. Just for heads up. I can see it red/green or other colors for 3 or 4 handed. Auto pay showing the stack moving from one player to the other would be even better.

Just noticed something else about this app. When 2 players both have a full house on the bottom row and no one has faulted, the app gives a double royalty to the higher full house. These would cancel each others royalty out in high stakes at the Aria. Higher full house would win one for the row.

Oh I love chinese poker (never heard of it referred to as open faced though). Filipinos play the same game called Pisoy. It's pretty much pai gow poker but with 13 cards and 3 hands versus 7 cards and 2 hands.

Another good chinese game is Big Two (deuces, pisoy does, dai lao er).

My husband just downloaded the app for this over the weekend and has been trying to figure it out. I've been peering over his shoulder and am thinking that I need to give it a shot. Looks like fun.
