Why Do You Play Poker?

I play poker to win for the challenge the competition the trill and hope someday I make it to where I earn big money.

Reason

1. reason to Drink2. reason to smoke
3. offend the donkey-players
4. make Money
5. excitement

Poker is excellent game I compare it to golf it can get all up in head but is the perfect call or bluff that keeps me coming back

I play because I think it's a great strategy game and I find it very exciting. Trying to read other players and apply different strategies at different times seems very exciting to me. I think it's the best card game that exists.

The game gives me pleasure. And the fact that she's on the money adds interest to the game. And how nice to win decent money in poker.

I play poker because I love card games, especially one you can win cash at. I like the thrill of playing a high buy-in and doing well, making decent profit on a hour wage by the amount of time you invest. Nothing better then sitting on my butt and playing for five hours and making a $100 an hour! I like the rush you get from going on a heater at the table, and pulling off a killer bluff. Before Black Friday I was playing to build a bankroll for the wsop, and possibly become pro. But since then I use online to keep up my skills while I save cash to go play live at the WSOP. If you want to be a pro, a good step is cashing in WSOP events.

I like to play games with shitty graphics (like go/baduk/weiqi, chess, enjoyed playing minecraft in the past - actually, I think all these games look pretty good ) - and the poker is only one in which I possibly can make money.

Also, I read that you should try to earn money with "work" which is scalable, it takes the same time to play 100 hands at $0.04/$0.08 as at $10/$20, it's just the matter of bankroll (small detail ) - so, I at least try and dream of building a big bankroll in my free time when I don't work.

I got hooked on it kind of early but i enjoy that you can play anyway you want that's why you see a wide variety of people that enjoy the game from all different backgrounds and play styles. Even if you have a 98% chance of winning the hand there is still that deuce that could pop up. if I don't win its fine as long as I was patient and made the right decision therefore having the best hand when I called or bet at the wrong time. Or - it's just complete luck and we are all eagerly staring at the board to see who transfers chips and where they go.


Sometimes I like to view poker as an argument between players. If it goes to showdown it's a meritocracy. If not then sheer aggression can win the hand.

I like to spend time well. It's always fun.

I guess i am wery competitive and a bad looser so i create and live for the drama with this game

I play poker because it helps me to relax and it also teaches me a lot (for e.g. patience, strategy, planning etc.). My biggest dream is to participate on a real tournament.
