On friday night I was playing 2/4 limit at Ballys Casino in Atlantic City, I sat down and played for about three hours. In those three hours I didnt win a single pot(no exageration). I understand that some people just have bad luck but over three hours of playing it just made me kind of upset. I started to wonder why I played poker. Someone post soemthing that tells me this kind of bad luck has happened to someone else.

I play because I enjoy the game. It's very frustrating at times; however, it's a great adult pacifier. As long as you play within your means and only gamble what you can afford to lose it's a great hobby.

It's definitely a love hate relationship with poker. A lot like golf if you have ever played it.

One time I was playing in Las Vegas and I couldn't win a hand in 4 hours. It sounds crazy and it was. Every time I got a good starting hand someone else caught something and I lost. It was a very frustrating day for me. I made that money back thought the next day.

never knowing

Poker is a game where your hand value changes every card.where a pair of 22's can run down a pair of AA's, so you keep playing because anything is possible.

Because when I play I distract myself from my problems, plus if I win it will be a great cash bonus

That is really bad, but of course it can happen. I feel you. When that happens to me, I just think that game is a waste of time! Until I win again, then I am euphoric ;)

I think it happens to a lot of people, we all have days where if we fall on our backs, we'll still break our noses.
the important thing is not to turn bad moments into something very great, because they will soon pass and we will move on.
that goes for everything in life.(y)(y)(y)

At first I played poker because I was interested in the game itself. And I played for a long time on virtual chips. And only after a long time I realized that you can play for money and not spend your money. That's how I started playing most of the freerolls. For many years, I spent only 10 dollars that I needed to bring to the cashier, without which I could not withdraw the money I won. So poker became my pocket money.

The perennial problem of a poker player, when to walk away from the table considering that it is not the right one for the day. If everyone left at the right time, there would be no losers, only winners.

It is very difficult to win big money at poker. But I play for fun. So I don't have psychological problems with losing. Play for positive emotions and everything will be great!!!!!!!!

I see Poker as a game where you need to know how to play to have a chance, unlike roulette, for example. However, randomness gives a much inferior player a chance against a stronger one. This unpredictability is what draws me to Poker. Of course someone will say that in the long run the more skilled player does better, and they are right.
I also see Poker as a game with a strong psychological and mathematical aspect. In what discipline is more important than the cards you are dealt preflop.
I think the sum of these things is what makes poker such an attractive game for me.
