if you watch season 4 of highstakes poker he makes some great reads even laying down AK VS AK suited vs hellmuth.. he seems to know most of the time what his opponent has and is clearly not clueless or just bad like people say

Because those are just a few hands, on a show that he was only invited onto because of his profile as a Main Event winner.

He might actually be an OK player, but he's a long way from world class. The reality is he's lost all of the $6m or whatever it was he won in the Main Event and then some. Apparently cash games used to be built around him at the LA card rooms because he was such a fish at the stakes he was playing.

Jamie Gold was also accused of cheating in the wsop via collusion he just isn't a likable person he doesn't have the personality of Daniel Negranu which would be fine if he was as good as Phil Hellmuth if that makes sense?

People need to stop making judgements of players based on the few hands they watch them play on tv lol.

Here is an episode where Jamie Gold plays awful by awful I mean awful compared to the talent he is surrounded by, If he were playing with average players at smaller stakes I bet he would look great but high stakes with this caliber of players they make him look bad.

Because of things like this.
Because of collusion.
Because he is arrogant while sucking out at wsop.

In the year Joe Cada won the WSOP, the guy in the final Darvin Moon, if i recall correctly. He said to several pros i'm sorry when he sucked out and also he admitted that it's easy to play AK AQ KJ and premium cards, that's why he went to almost win it.

Ok, I am going to judge him by the fact that he played every day at Commerce and they basically built games around his fishiness.

Not only he is bad at fundamental game play, but the man is horrible at game selection....

....and he went broke shockingly.

Also there is the encounter with Sammy Farha
He went from insanely ****y to weaseling his way out of a bet. He went after that to trying to put zingers like he has a set or something. Pleading and stuff for his mistake....

I am not sure if he went broke or not. It seems a lot more like gossip. No one could really know.

I will give most people a break because as you say we are human...I won't give them for cheaters so if collusion rumors are true then he deserves all bad that comes his way...can't believe no one else mentions the fact the IMO Tommy Chan was more the reason for his success and his out right luck then any skill he might have had...

That's what you get for calling with Jacks? I despise this man. I'll bet there are 20 players at Cardschat better than him. That may be an understatement.

This is the collusion video
Not collusion... Weird? Yes.

All the talk took place after the money went in. Even the first time he said "Top Top" it was when no other action was ahead of him.

It's Johny Chan :)
Look at the video that i linked.

Jamie holds AJ
Guy holds QJ

Flop come x x J (with a flush draw for the guy). Guy goes all in.

The talk was related that after the guy went all in, Jamie Gold went(with a bitter face) "I have top top.I WOULDN'T HAVE CALLED YOU, I THOUGHT YOU SAID TOP TOP"
The guy said something like chop chop. Jamie went all in only to see that the guy had QJ instead of AJ.
The talk went on with Jamie saying "I have top top. Top pair top kicker.".
Guy says i thought you said chop chop.

At one point is the commentator says that they both play at the Commerce Casino.

Watch the video and see for yourself.

It seems like collusion from my point of view. Everybody has their opinion and mine is that it's unfair to other people who drag their short stacks just in the hope of getting one more position over for a bigger cash prize, while the chip leader who abuses every short stack, takes it easier on a friend.

Everyone has their own opinion. I respect yours :)

This argument would stand up if he had said it before the "supposed friend" pushed.

Go back and watch the tape. Jaime gave no clue to his hand BEFORE the guy pushed.

At this point, being that only him and the other guy were in the hand, there was no more action ahead of him. Nothing he says at this point can affect any action to come. Thus, he can say what he wants,

... and that's how the WSOP ruled.

As i said everyone has their own opinion. I watched the tape.
After the guy shoved he said top top, then he said i would never have called. He called only after the top top chop chop confusion.
Everyone thinks what they want :)

You have the option to reveal your cards at this point to gauge the pushers reaction. It doesn't effect anything further that he can do.

Looking at it from the point you just made... His play was brilliant.

You guys are all stuck on the fact that he said Top top and some of you say it happened after the money went in but watch the video again and look at Jamie Golds reaction right as the flop comes out he looks directly at the guy and shakes his head trying to tell him not to bet an that he had it..
Heres the full video of the one above so you can see the head shaking: 0:03-0:04
