Ok now, When i get to the bubble in this 6 handed super turbos when i get a solid hand I run into a better 1

3 games I bubbled

my TT v QQ
my AJs v AK
my ATs v AJ

These are all the hands I have lost with on the bubble. Am I palying bad? Running Bad? Not shoving more? I mean I just keep losing :(

Anyone know how to win Super turbos? Succesfully?

I just can not seem to win anything anymore... Well at least enough to start rebuilding a real roll

Maybe on the bubble restrict yourself to AK+ and QQ+?

Ok if I do that, i will get blinded out.... The blinds move fast in Super turbos. So do I just sit tight and hope for the best? lol

It depends.

Post specific hands over in the tournament HA section and we can comment on them. In general, the way you handle the bubble is dictated by what you've done in the leadup to the bubble, so a lot of the important decisions actually come when you're four-handed (maybe even earlier in this format - IDK, 9-man turbos are my usual game, not 6-max supers).

LOL lol LOL lol LOL

The point is that you are whining about losing with TT, AJ and AT.

My logic would be to ask why you are losing with those hands. TT is fine, but the other hands that you have played are marginal.

I guess I am thinking 3 handed these hands should be holding up even MORE than 6 handed. Am I wrong to think that?

I know Any Ace HU in the long run is going to win more times than not, but 3 handed? Is it THAT much of a % difference?

What position were you in at the time, what was the action in front of you, what were the stack sizes around you, etc. etc.

Like I said above, everything depends, but in a SnG (especially a super-turbo) all those hands are probably fine to shove unless there's some extenuating circumstance like there's one micro stack at the table, you've got a medium stack and the other player has a big stack or something.

In a normal situation, I'd be happy to be pushing most of those hands on the bubble of a 9-man turbo. So without a specific reason not to play them, they should be fine in a 6-man super turbo.

Maybe on the bubble restrict yourself to AK+ and QQ+?

^ definitely don't do this, or you'll find yourself getting blinded out every time.

i can prodomintely say i have successfull made a slight amount playin 6 man super turbos on Carbon. and the one thing i can say, well two major tips are:
Watchout for the sick swings in those games,,,, seriously sometimes u lose three in a row and its like damn i have to win one to only lose slightly LOL
Second, i tend to play extremely tight at the begginning becuase if u can double up early u sove ur big stack around and steal simple pots, and also ppl are also always afraid to bubble so the big stack and definitely bully

Hope that helps!

Thanks Big, Yea im playing much tighter now and just shoving. Calling with 99 or better and if its 3 handed only calling the short stack (not med) when I get the right odds, or if i have any PP or premuim. Im bulding slowly.

I think that you might consider playing nonturbos.

If you have an edge then you should be interested in seeing as many hands as possible and build a decent stack before everyone gets into shove/fold mode.

You clearly don't know what your talking about.

OP- these are three hands, instead of looking over what hands your losing with, why not check out what types of situations you are losing in, or more specifically, losing equity in. These could just be coolers (most of the time they are), and also keep in mind a sample size of like 3k+ is like a minimum for super turbos to even find out if your likely to be winning at a particular level.

well with super turbo, you can't be overly selective, looks like some coolers ... probably not much you can do ... maybe try to steal more blinds after the 1st person goes out

supers are super swingy. I had a friend who was very good at them and played them regularly at $55+ on FT and went on a sick 25 BI downswing in which he basically lost his mind -- Black Friday probably came at a good time for him.

Wow 25 BI downswing. Worst I have heard of is 40, guy wrote a book on it too. If you are losing 20 or more BI usually its something you are doing. It is rare to lose more if you are a good player.

More aggression before you reach the bubble stage.
Turbos = Huge Variance - simple as that.
