I wonder the exact same thing! I think they outta have a resonable comp everytime you deposit! Most of it is short sightedness they worry oh all they will do is collect the bonus and withdrawal it stupid thinking in my opinion. The revenues and profit margins these sights are dealing with boggle the mind! The comps need to be frequent and reasonable. As for Noble and Titan that is just plain false advertising! That is not a reasonable bonus offer they have no intentions of anyone but a true expert level player EVER getting bonus money.

Here's an example of pokerstars deposit bonus.

Every once in a while they have a 20% deposit bonus. In order to recieve your bonus you have to earn 5x as many FPP's as the bonus amount.

So, if you deposit $100, your bonus amount would be $20. So you would have to earn 100 FPP's to clear the bonus ($20 x 5).

You earn 1 FPP for every so much that is raked from a cash game pot (only applies to limit games .25/.50 and up and no limit .10/.25 and up really). You earn 5 FPP's for every $1 you pay in tournament fees. So if you enter a $20+$2 tournament you would earn 10 FPP's.

It is hard to clear bonuses because the site you play at wants to make some money off of you, which they WILL do if you clear the bonus (rake, fees, etc.)

Well I for one have cleared stars bonuses several times, and i dont play big time huge money ring games. I mainly play $1 1.5$ and $5 s&go's. If you regurlarly get into the money then its pretty easy to clear, but its a fair enough system. All of the other sites tend to need seventy five thousand raked hands at 400-500 limits or something else crazy.

But everytime stars has a bonus I tend to deposit and i tend to get the full benifet of it, even though it might take a few weeks.

At Titan they gave me a FREE $10 bucks when i called them up, I asked if there was any raked hands for the 10 bucks, they said NO, so after the depositors freeroll i withdrew $ 150. and it was Declined, called them up and then they told me i have to play 20 raked hands to get my money, i told them what the girl told me NO RAKED HANDS for the FREE 10 bucks, Well i had to play 20 raked hands to get my money and lost $ 30. bucks, so by taking the free 10 bucks it cost me $ 20 bucks to get my money. I play mostly tournaments 99 % of the time and tourneys dont count toward raked hands, ( thats what they said ) so they all can keep their free money and bonuses because for me it doesnt pay, I dont like ring games, as Dave said THERE TOUGH. I would rather play in a tourney anyday, its cheaper to get in them and if you do ok the pay off is better, thats just my thoughts on this subject. >>>>>>>>>>>>>buckster436:deal: :deal:

Nate, check the bonus offers with a fine tooth comb - Carribean Poker for instance has 100% bonus for $50 deposit - you have to play x amount of raked hands BUT the rake needs to be over a $1, AND you need to actively participate in hand. To produce a rake of $1, you need to play $2/4 minimum, which is too high a level for $50 bankroll (you can bet $40 on a single hand). If you try too clear this bonus, two things could happen - you'll lose all your money, or you'll clear it, but pay vastly more than $50 in rake, so who wins both times?!

Some bonuses are much better. Bet365 has promotion this month of $10 for 50 raked hands - there's no minimum rake and you don't have to participate in hand. I played here for an hour, and the whole table was just trying to churn bonus, folding everything (and leaving table when BB came round again). I'd rather stick forks in my eyes than play there long enough to clear max $100.

I totally agree with the false advertisement on that one...don't they say it's a "free" deposit bonus? That should mean that I am not required to jump through hoops by playing real-money hands to get it...correct me if I'm wrong, but, if you have to pay to get something, it now longer qualifies as "free".

No you are right I have no problem with the word free. I just have a problem with a deposit bonus that is intentionally structured so that only the best players will clear it and the best players are NOT going to waste their time on a bonus deal that is simply not worth the time to work off. Blatant false advertiseing. These people have forgotten that they will be dealing with new real money players and new real money players are no gong to win long enough to EVER see any of tha bonus money. Flat out bonehead thinking on whomever wrote that bonus deal up. Hollywood poker has a deposit bonus with insane raked hand requirements but it is 500 percent not 100.
