Ted Forrest - He is so good, when you are at the table you hear HIS voice in your head telling you the best way to give him all of your chips.

Wow, I hate to repeat what others are saying, but mine are
Ivey, Negreanu, and Hellmuth.

I also like Doyle and Ferguson, but those are my 3 favorite.

I am always rooting for Ivey to win , simply because he is such a professional. You never hear a bad word said about him, and when you are that young, with that much fame and fortune, it must be hard to kep a level head, so i respect him for that. No doubt he is arguably the best poker player around at the moment.

On the flip side, you have Phil Hellmuth, who we all know is a freak at a NL tourny table, and is a threat to win every Hold Em tourny he enters. He comes across as arrogant and annoying at times, however this may be the way the media wishes to portray him. I had reserved my judgement until the WSOP final table live audio broadcast on card player. It was here where the real Phil came out.

He stayed online for 14 hours, on his birthday, to give us all commentary on the event. Many pro's participated, but this guy hung around from start to finish. It was here where i realised this guy just loves poker. He lives and breathes poker. His passion for the game, i think shone through during this broadcast, and it is because of this that he has become one of my favourtie players.

Its hard NOT to portray this guy as a whiney, spoiled little jerk. He whines and cries and complains every time he loses a hand, all while b!tching about how bad his opponents are and how much better than them he is.

I agree that he is good, but how any onlooker could choose him as their favorite player is beyond me.

I like Phil Ivy, a real professional who takes his losses like a man, not like a 6 year old girl (cough HELLMUTH cough)

I gotta be different here. Gotta go with Jesus. He might not be the best but his slicing skills with the cards are untouched.

My favorite player is Ryan Doyle. He will never be on TV, or win anything huge, but he is everything I wish I was at the table. We play a cash game weekly and he plays with us. He does not win all the time or anything, but he has the patientence to play only premium hands, and to bet them accordingly. Doyle has a degree in accounting so he knows all the numbers and plays by them. We play with some real fish and they are unpredictable, but he never goes into a pot as an underdog. No one special, sorry to disappoint.

Really? Thought I noticed him getting an attitude with someone he lost to last year. Guy went all in and Ivey lost and when the guy told him the amount of chips he yelled at him.

At least Hellmuth... umm... well he... uhh... Well at least Doyle looks like he is having fun if he wins or loses :icon_thum

I'm still a newb at poker, and haven't followed it for long, but in my short time watching I've liked Howard Lederer, and Phil Lacke is it? Unabomber? That guy is mental:) Saw a WPT event with him in recently and I immediately loved the guy. (In a strictly hetero way.)

I would have to say Daniel Negreanau. He just seems so normal.
