Where we gather more information from the opponent?

I come asking a while, where can I get more information of a poker player does.

Live or perhaps online .

What happens is that in live poker you can see your opponents can gather more information about the strength of their hands. Some poker players 'talk' a lot while playing live poker .
But also some players when they have trump cards or when they are bluffing , can stop talking , sit upright , looking down or looking away from you.

These indications can reveal the kind of hand your opponent has .

unlike online poker all this information is not available .

On the other side with Internet poker you can play much more often than in poker online, poker onlinne also can play multiple tables at once and that will not allow you to see your opponents.

In conclusion in live poker you can see your opponents and collect information and onlinne poker software you can use to gather information . Which is better?

I prefer live myself. But on the flip side, you also have to worry about giving out information. Online you can sit there in your underwear and eat pizza. Live, you should treat it like you are always being watched, because you likely are.

I think a lot of it has to do with your goals. For me- I want to win of course, but I also enjoy the atmosphere of the poker table. Online I tend to get bored, which leads to bad decision making.

If you just want to play some cards, have a little fun, chat with other players live poker is best.
But in live poker you cant multi table, you play much less hands per hour.
So online for the business, live for the fun

Besides the betting pattern tells and just watching the players play hands (position, range) there are timing tells online. For example in stud8, when a player is betting a low draw on 4th and then on 5th street he catches another wheel card but hesitates and then bets, it usually means he paired that card and hasn't completed his low draw.

I would say timing tells are more evident In limit games because in NL games players try to fake timing tells.
