Watching televised poker will not help you get better, they only ever show the huge hands, never the 100 hands in between them where it's the blinds, folds and smaller pots. If you're wanting to watch poker videos(which can help you get better), go to cardrunners, dragthebar or deucescracked

and are you saying it can't help?

I haven't got any money spare for training sites atm, would majorly dent my roll.

Yes I am pretty much saying it will not help beyond teaching you the absolute basic rules of the game(ie. you must use two of your four cards to make the best hand, a straight gets beat by a flush, yadda yadda...). It will make you think you can run insane bluffs and get paid off with just top pair(this is the main reason why so many bad players at the micros try to bluff so much, because they saw the "highlight reel" poker show which someone was bluffing in just about every hand).

Many of the sites have trials that you can get for free and some even have some free basic vids.

I like watching PLO too but there isn't much of it out there really. Tried Pokertube there but didn't find any. Subscribing to see if anyone can help.

go on youtube and search for poker after dark PLO..
but don't try that at home xD
they are very skilled play with a lot (a very huge quantity) of played hands..
watching to play ivey, or galfond, or durr, or hastings at high stakes is very funny, but it definitively will not improve your game..

Finding anywhere to watch live PLO, at least here in the States is going to be next to impossible (can't say for overseas). As for reasons to watch any televised poker, it pretty much begins and ends with entertainment purposes. The shows are nearly all edited (I don't believe HSP was, but I think all the others are), to just show big/important hands. Besides which the players you see on TV are thinking approximately 27 levels above what you are going to find in your typical micro-stakes online games.

I watched some PLO on Sky Sports in the UK the other night. It was part of a party poker Mixed Game Series. Interesting to watch but unlikely that you will learn anything. The televised games usually concentrate on the final stages and the range of hands played is just ridiculous compared to normal tournament poker.

Search either YouTube or PokerTube, there have been a few shows that have televised PLO over the years. Off the top of my head:

- The Aussie Millions televised cash games from a few years ago (2010, probably?) were half NLHE, half PLO. There was at least one episode of full ring and another of Dwan and Antonius heads up for nosebleed stakes.

- The live televised Durrrr Million Dollar Challenge had some PLO episodes: the last portion of the match with Marcello and the entire match with Ziigmund. Again, it was heads up nosebleed.

- Poker After Dark has done a number of PLO cash game episodes, as mentioned above.

- The wsop televised a few PLO final tables in the mid-to-late noughties.

- Live at the Bike might have done some PLO episodes, I'm not sure though as all the ones I've seen have either been LHE or NLHE.

As mentioned above though, finding this stuff is one thing but being able to learn anything from it is a very different proposition...
