Hi fokes. I grew up playing 5 Card Draw, 7 Card Stud and Omaha. 5 Card Draw was my favourite.

Then Texas Hold'em came on like a storm. Don't get me wrong, I was just as excited as the majority of players that go into playing the fast past, exciting game. It was easy to learn the rules, but a bit of a challenge to learn the finer details of betting.

With saying this however, I want to say that I missed my 5 Card Draw. At first the draw towards hold'em was such that for sometime I lost interest in playing 5 Card Draw, but after a short time I went back to playing some. I ended up going to hold'em full time for more than 5 years. Recently I decided to look for 5 Card Draw on one of the sites that I play hold'em on a very regular basis and a site that 5 Card Draw was extremely popular 5 or 6 years ago. Well, it's all but gone now. I haven't looked at the real money side yet (I wanted to check how far my 5 Card Draw skills had fallen, so I went to play money. On this site, where, if my memory serves me right there were always many tables on the go at many different betting levels. At this time I was only able to find 2 tables, each at slightly different bettings levels. One of the tables was empty.

I know that this is just one site out hundreds, maybe thousands that once had 5 Card Draw and may still have this game of strategy and luck. I will certainly be looking at other sites to try to find a good mix of the number of tables, the bet levels and some good quality play.

I know the game lost a lot of popularity when hold'em came on the scene, but where there any other factors that contributed to its near disappearance and does ANYONE have any ideas on how 'we' might be able to bring it back to a level of popularity near what it had enjoyed prior the rise of hold'em (or at least to a level better than it's current position)?

As well, can anyone recommend any current sites that have reasonably good 5 Card Draw tables (real money tables, and/or play money tables)?

Thank you in advance to everyone how reads this post and a special thanks to anyone who can provide any info on sites that 5 Card Draw is better than what I'm getting now.

P.S.:Sorry for the long post!

Try emailing poker stars , they used to have them all in freerolls for tickets to cash tournys , and those tournys alternated on all of the games. I to enjoyed the variety, now all they have id Omaha , in cash tables and in zoom games
