The first thing I try to do is to pull the plug. When I'm down 2BI+ I just stop playing. I then go back and try analyse why I made the bad decisions that led there. When I get back to a table, I force myself to play tighter and remember how to do it better. If it's a repetitive problem, I will write it down and keep it next to the PC while playing (eg not trusting villains aggression on a missed flop, over-betting TPTK on a wet board etc.).

If it happens to me I move towards freerolls till I get back my energy and poker love and confidence.

First stay calm and learn from mistakes, because the losses also teach you to play

I stop playing for a few days, because I feel like a loser before I start

It's only a good thing that you are able to see your own mistakes. Bad players tend to blame everyone else for their losses when good players analyze if they did something wrong themselves. Bad players don't learn anything from losses and continue to play the same when good players turn that loss into profit later on by avoiding those same mistakes they once did.

My own play after losing depends on what has happened. If I lose to a cooler or to a horrible bad beat, I might still continue if I have played my cards right. Then again, if I start to lose because of my own behaviour like starting to tilt, already tilted or just generally making bad decisions, I quit. I accept the fact that I didn't do so well this time and start again tomorrow with a fresh state of mind. Everyone can probably notice when they start to tilt or when they play bad but not everyone can stop playing after that. In the end, that's what makes a huge difference between winning and losing players.

My maximum loss during one session is probably 3 buy-ins and that is something I don't ever want to exceed. Usually I quit after losing 2 buy-ins no matter what, even when I have played well. It's just not my day then.

You're playing online right? Are we talking $2-$5nl? Seriously, just play through it. I actually think it's helpful to develop a losing database, that is if you are actually keeping track. It's as important to know what you're doing wrong than what you're doing right. If you feel like you're still learning the basics of the game then don't worry about whether you're winning or losing, just keep playing and enjoy the learning process. There's just so much to know in poker and the edges are so razor thin that it would be surprising if you weren't losing.

Slam everything in sight, lol depends on how I lose. Losing to a donk, or suck-out I lose my mind. If it is good play with a good hand, figure out how he played it, and where could I have folded.

If you are constantly losing over a LARGE sample your choices are:

1. Quit
2. Only play recreational at micro stakes.
3. Re-evaluate your game and invest in training to become better.

The key is sample size:

MTT/SNG- 1000 will give you and idea. 5000 you will know if you are good or not.
Cash Games- 50k-100k hands and you will know a true BB/100.

It's alot but you will need this many for a good sample size. It's not called GRINDING for nothing.

You need to pause, reflect and analyze. This losing streak could be cause by variance that then turns into tilt. Patience is needed and you should stop to figure out what mistakes you are making. Good luck

I stop playing for a while and turn my attention to something else, and then I do the analysis of the game and again sit down at the table.

I think that in such cases it is more correct to make a short break for 1-2 days in order to "restart yourself" and continue playing without remembering about the unsuccessful day

I'm having a bad start to the year, many losses, the variance is affecting me a lot and I'm taking a lot of bad. I do not know if it's the way I'm playing because I've been playing the same way for a long time and it's already much more profitable. So just playing the freerolls and hoping that this bad phase will pass.

I tried to analyse my hands and find any mistake. Try not to do it again. If was a bad beat and I did the right move, just have to let it go. Sometimes is not easy but it´s part of the Poker. Mental game is very important.

its a hard circle to be in. Take some time off, restart the game plan or study more and come back with new strategy.

I do not really believe in mistakes. Of course, I'm analyzing my loss, because in poker there is still the possibility of having the whole game a bad card. And then so that you do not make the stack grow.

When you start losing you should calm down. If you get angry that will lead to you losing everything you ve got. Have discipline and control your emotions. Get out of the game if you start to lack either one.
