For me I began playing poker as a young child. Being an only child I got into weird different hobbies and in 2003 this wasn't quiet what it is now. I remember watching the wsop on T.V. then 13 year old me went and downloaded pokerstars.com along with a few other sites testing them all out. At one time I had 6 regular sites and was enrolling in every freeroll that came around boosting my ego as a child taking out adults at an adult game. Now being of legal age everywhere I have won multiple house tourny's while slowing down my online play almost to a hault for awhile due to my travels. I believe starting so young though has given me experience well beyond my years and prepared me for today where I can sit at a table of people who think they are big sharks and quietly take them out with this 24 yr old baby face. What about y'all, how'd you get into this sinful game?

I tried to resist the internet for a long while but sometime during the early 90's i started surfing the web and came across online casino's and found myself hooked. It was the best thing since sliced bread and back then all the casinos gave you free chips to test them out well soon the casinos that ran on the Microgaming software started opening up poker rooms and they also were giving away a free $10 chip to promote their sites and so thats how i started playing poker online and have only played a couple of times for money in real life face to face settings.

I started playing seriously 3 years ago, wanting to reach the profession, traveling, participating in major tournaments around the world. I started playing because I thought it had the characteristics necessary to be a winner and had free time. Innocence.

About a year ago around my 21st birthday. I was gambling on some sports and roulette at the time, deposited £21 of the winnings into poker just for a rush... lost it all pretty quickly of course.

But I watched some High Stakes Poker videos and got more interested in the game. Eventually binked a few freeroll donkaments, learnt proper bankroll management, and never needed to deposit again.

The only thing I have lost since is time, sleep, my soul, and many many dreams...

I have always loved poker & it was just a family game, mainly played stud, until a friend showed me all about Full Tilt just over 4 years ago.

That same day, I registered here: Join Date: 9th August 2010
So I can thank CC for having the best Poker Community on the net & without them would not be sitting on higher stakes tables & improving from a day to day basis.

Started playing freerolls 2000 or 2001 on pokers sites that have been long gone. I started playing holdem as a new rush vs the old draw and stud home games. Now that I am retired I should be playing more but just doesn't seem as fun as it was first starting out..

Learned the initial ropes of the game when I was 12 through a small mmo that had poker as a side game. Didn't really win often since I had no clue what I was really doing.

Started taking it more seriously beginning in college when I found a group of friends who were interested in poker. I still manage to find people around campus who are looking for a game. I play online when I have the itch to play and no one is available.

The first time WPT aired in the Philippines in 2005, i was wondering what the players were doing. After watching an entire hour I was able to learn from what they were doing, I think it was Ivey, Forrest, Esfandiari that i saw on the first time i laid my eyes on WPT.

Then we bought cheap chips and started playing, we didn't know the rules exactly back then so it was horrible but we enjoyed!

Up until now I'm still playing casually, hoping that someday I will be able to have enough BR for the middle stakes and eventually gain enough buy-in to join the WSOP Main Event.

I think I started playing at 14 years so any one 21 years ago with friends 5 card draw and slowly organize many a tournament or cash game table every Saturday so all of this to have fun then I started playing online by 2005 in Italy I had good results I participated in a competition for a pro player pack 3 packages guaranteed until the second to last day I was very diferentza between place and 3 points so it was impossible for me to overcome but had guaranteed prize magic at the end of the day I was 4th then I 've stopped online poker and I think it was because I was in that country ... I finally I stopped playing online poker for a good time I think three years and then when I came back in the home I started playing again I failed slightly easier too high results but play for fun in the moment

I started playing roughly seven years ago, when home games were thriving as social gatherings. I miss those days.

Cheers!

I started playing in homegames around 2001. I thought it was fun so I put some money online and played a bunch of hands over the next few years. During that time, I played a few times at Foxwoods and did ok.

That's kind of funny, I sort of started out the same way. I caught an event on TV and instantly fell in love with the idea of winning a bunch of cash. My fathers friends would always have house games they would let me get into for $10 buy ins. I actually walked away with $50 one time, maybe 11 or 12 at the time.

My play slowed down a lot after I stopped hanging around my father and his friends, at a young age not too many of my friend played or really knew about poker.

When I turned 18 I was legal for the cardrooms in my area, and started playing again. Nothing too high in stakes, just the $1/$2 tables.

I just recently got back into online poker and play on blackchip, I play in the freerolls to build a bankroll. My goal is to essential earn a decent amount of cash stemming from a freeroll win.

I began playing poker when i was 20. I played on absolute poker and I placed in a tourney and won 400 dollars first try. I ordered a check and have been obsessed ever since.
