Right now i am playing 1/2 NL (strictly Live) and have been doing quite well for the past couple of weeks and just recently had my first runbad session. i havent been recording wins and losses for that long but i would like to know how many hours/ sessions or other deciding factors goes into obtaining some accurate stats. Thanks

In my experience running millions of hands through database software you need a minimum of 100k hands to overcome basic variance. The long run in poker is very long.

The best thing you can do especially in live poker is just play your best each day and don't even worry about your results for months at the very least. There is just no way you can play enough hands to even scratch the surface of basic statistical variance with a sample less than this.

How many hours per week or month are you playing?
Is this a casino with a good tourist flow thru the room?
Or is it a home/underground/house game with a limited set of regulars?

Pokerprolabs does a great job of tracking your MTT stats. No idea where a cash equivalent is.

Interesting I wondered about this, I am curious is the million hands through db software something you collected over the years or did you purchase it? Wishing I had kept copies of all my hand histories since 2004@ least on the sites I could ~ oh well
