When the fun is taken out of the game

I am a recreational poker player who likes to have a bit of fun, when playing poker if I make it fun and not take things too seriously I have found myself sitting in a final table of a $1 - $11 buy in.
Sometimes though the fun goes away from the game because of constant bad beats which I am sure we've all had.
One day in particular I was in three tournaments average buy in $5 I had an AA in each tournament at the same time, I was chip leader in one, and the other two I was top ten....now I don't suggest going all in all the time with these hands but I did and I lost on all three all ins. I don't know why I tilted I had come second a few days earlier for a $1000 so I was still way ahead.
I know that if I am the mindset of having fun I win more.
When I play angry poker I lose more.
When the fun is taken out of the game my advice is (Don't Play) until you are ready to have fun again.

Yes you are right. That anger has been getting the best of me lately as well. So to anyone I may have called some names. I apologize. I will try to be better than that

Ahah, nice story, sad story. Like every one said : that's poker. How many AA have you beat with a slow hand? That's happened in both way, never forget that.

Anyway, the worst thinks for a poker'player is to be in tilt. Never play when your are in tilt, it's could be very dangerous for your bankroll.

yea maybe we need to take some Tranquilizers while we playing (lol jk) but need to relax and stay calm because it's can only get worse...

yeah I agree. If you have bad beats then you should take a rest and start all over again when you dont feel bad anymore. I usually go to gym or something. That helps.

Sometimes variances cannot be a fun thing.But you'll get over after larger sample size.

Variances do hit and when they do I slow down....

I have fun, but seriousness is what wins the money. Using that, I'm about the same if I win or lose. I just can't really be happy or real angry each hand. Oh it's great when you win a good pot, but not so great win you lose a big one. But when I get my next hand, if I'm either of those two, I'm more apte to lose than win. GL all

Those moments river happens sometimes force you flip the cake , go ahead , we sometimes have to touch the luck to us .. !!! Poker is so exciting

Best way to reset the tilt needle is to take several days off. Get in some quality exercise too, as I find this can use up some of the anger in a productive way. imo

i totally agree with the main position.bad beat/(bad playing)-->tilt-->lose money-->more tilt-->destroying bankroll.have faith in yourself and let the good times roll.if you re tilted,close the software and grab a cold beer.play again when you really want to and not seeing as a chore

It usually takes a run of bad beats to 'tilt' me now, still happens tho...I play $1/$5 range..I rail quite a few of the high roller tournys and some of the 'bad beats' they get would drive me nuts lol...all part of the game tho'..it's a lifetime thing..one thing I will do when I'm on tilt is enter some freerolls and play like a maniac...
