I would like to hear from you when a successful play or a wrong play will influence your future play. Sometimes take bad of AK suit, makes you play this different hand in the future. Or the conviction of a certain move but the river made you lose, you still continue to execute the same way. How is it for you?

First of all letting my opinion for the topic, I want to say that for me it influences a very well executed play or bad played during the course of the game. Sometimes it gives you a security to risk other moves. This may be good, but too much security can make you lose.

Worst play/time playing?

Before black Friday where PS and FT got busted by the feds. I had serveral occasions that year that I had a varity of emotions occure.
My quads were beat 4 times and a st.flush once in a couple months play. Cost a pretty penny to play those hands, Oh well, dats show biz:D Got to accept it don't have to like it.;)

Depends on what stage of the game i am i can get into tilt, but i always try to play the strong hands and if i have stack i can play more loose hands but becouse i lose one hand with for example AK suited i still play that hand in the future.

If after thoroughly scrutinizing the hand(s) I find (think?) I made the correct decisions I'll try again... If not, i'll adjust my play.

If you're playing a hand differently than you have before because the situation is different, that's fine. Your opponents, the action before, the game you're play (cash/mtt), table dynamics, your image, etc, can influence how you might play a hand.

With AA, I might play it super aggressively pre/post flop against a table/opponents, but play it slow and trappy against another table. It really depends.

If you're playing a hand differently because a bad beat is influencing your decisions, then that's being result oriented. Going back to AA, losing with AA will not influence how I play the hand in the future. I will not be scared to lose with AA just because I've lost with it before.

Of course, the failures affect future game. You need to endure. By the way, I wouldn't count on AK. A very tricky combination.

I think if you let one deal change the way you would play that hand in the future you would never improve your game. I know you have to adjust your play to certain situations but poker is a learning game no matter how long you play.

So it is to keep the hands that you think that acted right and for a detail of the destiny (river) you lost and to continue playing and believing in your game. Everyone has their game and their particular way of playing, but I will try to continue with the plays that I think are right and we will wait for the time. Let's see if they'll take me somewhere. Thank you guys.

Just a thought from Barry Greenstien;
Barry Greenstein; I'd rather be put out with the best hand than get beat with a bad play, Quote after a 1 outer beat on Poker after Dark that put him out losing a $175k pot. Always a gentleman.
Most people that I play with know I'm very tight way more often than not,
Playing consistently knowing what to open with and when to see a turn have worked well for me. Basics takes most of the guess work out of my game no matter what the stakes. When one sees the increase in higher stake games instead of playing the basics may as well give the chips away. To many people clever themselves out of a tournament by trying to be clever. It's like buying a Sears Washer that has hot, cold, on and off. Less things to go wrong. Same in poker for me.
Enjoy your game and each other and win, win, win.:D

It depends on the phase of the game that you are at... you can be joining in the end of late phase and with little luck and big skill you can x3 stack in 3 minutes or get kicked out after flopping AA and shoving .. vs fish call 7d2s with flop like 7 7 2 A 7 .. happened to me last time.. 5.50 knockout in pokerstars.. :]

I typically play my game how Ive been taught and try not let any recent or future hands change the way I go about it.

Ive found if I try and change it up now, I get in more trouble than I was in the first place. You will find that once you play a hand a certain way, its hard to change.

If it's a successful play ofcourse it will infuence my future play , I adopt it and use it , if it's wrong play I won't repeat it , but after soooo many games and hands , I have found many leaks I have that lead to bad game play , nevertheless I don't know the solution to the problem .
I guess I have to study more the opponent's way of play from now on , not mine so much , and study more some rules and strategy .
Now when I get busted because of AKs , oh man , then I don't really know many times , was it misfortune , was it overplay bluffs , was it ok from my side ? I guess if I gain more experience I'll know for sure if a gameplay is bad or badluck and know the solution/right moves then for sure :)
