I play every week at Foxwoods. Have so for about 6 years. The 1/2/, 2/4 and 5/10 is pretty soft , especially during the summer. It pays the bills.

Since Black Friday, though, things have become softer than microwave heated butter.
This is due to the large numbers of guys who exclusively played online, were successful and now have arrived to take down the live games.

Theyre psychotically impatient, ignore betting structure frequently, wear tells like neon signs that say "i have trash" or "i have the nuts" and seem to be shocked that they arent succeeding live.

The amount of time it takes for me to win 5-8 buy ins has been cut in half.

Whats been your experience?

I'm a live player too, play every week and pay the bills as well.
On 2 5 or especiaally 5 10 tables...yeah, an exclusively online player is fish outta water..there is a lot about the live game that takes time to adjust to. Much like if you were to jump into a 400nl table right now on a bad table and play good regs w no hud..you'd likely be a lol live player and get killed

ive never gotten killed in any game, live or online. frankly my experience with online players is they have a lot of issues live, but i dont find the reverse the case, as im mostly a live player but do great online as well.

I doubt it. Jump on some nl400 tables without a hud now and post a winning graph over a decent sample. I doubt ye can.

Not just talking crap btw. I wreck 2/5 live...and do ok on 5/10...up 70k ytd. But I won't touch online, and most my fellow casino regs agree. No patience to play the levels id kill (ie 5 or 10 buck donkaments) ..but I haven't put in the work these nl400 regs have-they'd have an edge.

The average live player who jumps into a high lvl online game without a hud is gonna get killed (myself included) imo. The reverse is just as true tho-onliine playyers give away easy tells, don't pay nearly enough attention to detail, are so used to their huds, fail to adjust to aggression, etc that they often get kkilled on my live cash tbls too.

It definitely works both ways. Many online players struggle when they first attempt to play live - you simply can't play the same game without making adjustments and be successful.

And successful live players can't just jump online and expect to crush.

There are of course a lot of players at the higher levels who do well with both - but I suspect they had a learning curve when 1st attempting to try the other. Then there also has be to a percentage who instantly did well.

Cash games online - I have never been successful at - not even at micro levels. I just don't like it. But I have to be way up playing $1/2 live.

I am down playing sng's online but did well with online mtt's. I have done extremely well with live tournaments. I don't understand why I could never master sng's online.

Heres some good advice sbialcza:

Try to remember when you sit down that you arent about to see 1000 hands an hour.

Dont be too shocked when you dont see 2-4 players in a hand every flop with a reason to be there.

Thats a REAL deck of cards youll be looking at, not a computer program engineered to make a business as much money as possible. Online poker sites didnt write their software to give you an authentic poker experience. they did it to make money. Even if you dont like reading that, try to think about that before you hit the felt.

good luck bro

"you are an idiot"??

thats it? really? no comment ?

im not a losing player online hillbilly. if you think that online poker is as real as live poker, all you need to do to find an idiot is look in the mirror, not mod here.

i know, i know, youll ban me or erase my posts, i know.

Because theres no such thing as scripted rng. Superuser accounts have never been used. collusion and chip dumping never happens. Reputable sites have never been exposed as ponzi schemes. Oh and these sites are run by people with impeccable integrity, watched over by people closely with strict guidelines as to what is allowed and what is not.

Thats funny hillbilly, that you ignore all these things and call someone an idiot when it comes to online poker.

In fact , its morally responsible to advise a player who previously played online exclusively to not expect what he saw online.

you actually have a problem with that? wow

I was just simply stating that you can't handle the fact that what WV said, (in post #8 of this thread), was true about you.

Actually I have a problem with clueless rigtards who ALWAYS suck online (yeah right you're a winner online  ) and are supposed HUGE winners at live poker. Here is the secret reason, you suck at poker BUT you're still better than most live players.

Nah wvh.

The reason is because we'd able to check if he was a winnner onlne. Have you read this guys posts? He's not a winner @ any level on any table. Maybee 1/2 live.

Lirounder, id bet a good $$ that you can not get on a site and post a winning record over a good sample if you play @ any decent level.

boy you sound mad.

first you called names like a child, then you make up things about me too.

you even call me a rigtard even though i dont believe online poker is rigged.

unless its exposed to be rigged. then that site is rigged. but none of the others.

Also, your money is safe online. Unless its not. But the other sites should be okay.

Online poker IS different than live poker. No matter how many names you call me or how insulting you try to be, thats not going to change that. Im truly sorry that it hurts you to the point of resorting to insults, i really am.

Sometimes the truth hurts

oh i was NYC2VA on fullscam , i mean fulltilt

cabbierob on pokerstars

ive never lost anything online. i dont hate online poker at all.

its not the same as live poker. saying so is ridiculous.

i played mostly mtts, didnt like the idea of collusion so i didnt play too much cash.

i remember on tilt a red pro would often be on 30 diff tables at once, across 4 different types of poker on tourneys, cash, sng, etc.

i cashed out and played on Pokerstars whenever i wanted some fun at home.

but never in a billion years would i fool myself into thinking it was 100% real, whether i did good or bad.

its morally responsible to advise others this too
