Whats your contribution to poker?

In a nutshell - give up 1 nugget of information that every good poker player in the world should know.

It can be anything

examples

1. You cant bluff a donkey.
2. There are certain hands that you simply wont get someone to fold
3. Dont go broke on 2 pairs
4. Don't chase flushes and straights on a paired board.
5. If you can't spot the fish at your table, it's probably you
6. Always leave yourself some outs.
7. Don't overplay AK
8. Ask yourself if you know how to make a big laydown?
9. Bettors and Raisers win. Callers and checkers don't.
10. Don't be afraid to take a stab at the pot. The flop misses most people anyway.

1) Don't assume that someone at your table can't play because they are a certain race/sex/age/whatever. I notice this a lot with female players at the table - some men just keep going after them only to get their butts handed to them. I used to do quite well at a ladies night tournament (half price buyin for women) not because I thought I could beat the women but because I could recognize the other men who played worse around them.

2) Always re-evaluate a strong hand when another card comes on the board.

AA doesn't always win (so quit whining when it gets beat)

If you have the low end of the str8, you better believe that someone has the higher end if they are betting into you

A game of poker is a business deal, you put in some to get out more so try to get involved in good deals that have decent payouts for your money.

Make sure your girlfriend doesn't need the computer for like 5 min.

These 5min always take an hour at least.

AA doesn't always win (so quit whining when it gets beat)

Don't say something to an online player that you would'nt say if you were playing Live.

Don't underestimate the effects that the little things have on your play!!! examples: sitting up straight, turning off the damn TV, etc..

I foolishly lent money to several Live Poker Lowlifes when I first started playing.

unless of course you are playing on bodog... then you must play your suited 4 7 connectors and beat someone with pocket AA's.. even after you were raised 5x's the bb..oh wait that happened to me... grrr... lol

Do not chase straight draws when there is a flush draw on the board.

YOu can leed a donkey to the river but you can't get him to fold.

It's not profitable to c bet into 3+ players on a whiffed flop (at a full ring table)

Believe that poker is rigged certain ways on different sites and play for that accordingly.

It's okay to like your hand. Just don't marry it.

bankroll management

Poker is a game of your skills vs the other players luck.

Stupid people have money to burn. Don't get pissed off when they get lucky once in a while.

if you are dealt a pocket pair, you will make a set on the flop 10% of the time.
so PLAY your pocket pairs more often than not cuz chances are you will be makin the cash

concentration is the big key. i love my poker and as i am homebound 24/7 its my life.when im happy i play really well, but if im on medication my game slips.try to record when you have played your best poker and good luck to you all
