whats the most expensive tourney youve played in?

whats the most youve spent on a buy in? for me it would be 22 dollars. i got pretty far, but it was a rebuy tourney and everyone was going nuts buying in 5 times. so i eventually was overwhelmed and busted out a third of the way there.

5 buyins is not abnormal at all in a rebuy.

you buy in and add on and that is 2 right away, you bust once and rebuy twice that is 2 and you add on at 1st break that is 5 right there. You shouldnt join rebuy unless you can afford id say at least 7 buy ins.

$120, a HORSE tournament this past Sunday.

My highest buyin would have been $330 if another event I wanted to play had been when I thought it was instead of the previous week.

Online Ive played the Sunday Million $215 and a few €150/€80 Buy in Games on Full Tilt.

The highest buyin for an mtt online was $10.
My highest buy in for a sit n go was $50. But my highest buyin ever was in a home game, it was $200 for my mates bday with 10 players and winner takes all... i didnt win.

$1,500 + $80 WPT Super Satellite. Aces cracked by the other aces in second blind level = $1k/hour to play poker. So wrong.

Live - I think I played in a couple of women's tournies that had $10 buy-ins - other than that have never played a live tournie - only cash games.

Online my biggest buy-in was $55. I never do well in tournies. I placed 2nd in a $5 limit tournie and won about $260. I won $59 in a omaha hi-lo one time. Other than that it has been small wins or losses.

So - not willing to put much at stake until I learn how to play.
