For me it was about twenty years ago. We had a regular home game on Friday nights. We were playing a hand $2-$5 No limit hold'em. I was up close to $300 at the start of the hand. We had three way action on the flop and it came out J 5 2. I can't remember what the suits were all I know is that I was second to act and I flopped a set of 2's. My brother in first position bet $50 and I raised to $100. My friend in third position then went all for like $400 and my brother called so I folded my set of 2"s after putting over $100 in the pot. They turn their hands, my friend had a set of jacks and my brother had a set of 5's. My friend picks up the deck, starts to celebrate laughing "there's only one card in the deck." He flips over the turn card and BAM It's a 5 then a blank on the river. I don't think I've ever seen three people all flop a set like that before or since then.

Live cash game 2/5 NL: I had about 800 in front and got AA in SB. I raised to 50 and BB calls ( all others fold). Flop A,A,K, I bet 100. BB shoves for about 600, I snap call and he quickly flips his KK face up like he thought he had won the hand. I flip my AA and he just sinks in his chair. To make matters worse K hits the turn.

$10/$20 blinds casino Aztar Evansville Indiana late 1990s I'm holding pocket Queens on the flop comes Queen Diamonds 7diamonds 7 Clubs the multiple raise and reraise gets me and one other heads up with a couple grand or close each in the pot before I'm all in. He turns over ACE KING of diamonds. Turn and River are the other two sevens giving him quads with an ace which beat my quads with a queen. Not a good day to remember!

Can you imagine how he would have felt if you guy got the money in after the turn?

3 bet pocket aces and got called, flopped ace and 2 fours, raised 1/2 pot and got raised .. (figured my opponent was trying to represent aces) ... went all in with aces full and was out of the tourney just like that .. opponent had pocket fours. Lol , good thing it was a freeroll

Well if live game at a casino was there a badbeat jackpot? That would of made him sit back up when the k hit the turn.

I had a really crazy hand few years ago which luckily for me ended well. I was playing at a cash table online with 100$ maximum buy in; so i joined the game with 100$; after a while I'm receiving 3 7 of club; someone with a top pair( aces more exactly) was raising preflop; we are four guys who paid to see the flop; here comes the flop: A 5 6( 5 and 6 of club); the guy with the aces preflop goes all in hitting the set on the flop by betting the difference between 100 $ and what he was betting preflop; the others two guys after him do the same thing:eek:; I'm the fourth person to act wondering what the hell the others have in their hands:rolleyes::D; anyway thinking i might hit a flush or a straight i call; on the turn or the river ( i don't remember well) came 4 of club:elefant:; so here I'm winning a big pot with a straight flush:D; now here is what the others guys had: a set of aces, second guy did a straight and the other one did a flush of clubs:D:D.I never saw or played a hand more crazy than this one.:D

Some mid stakes $50 MTT before the bubble both player are all in my AKs vs his AQo we both runner runner a royal flush. I first though eh, atleast I did not lose then I realized how insane the hand was statistically. That was my first and only Royal.

For me it was having AA in the big blind. Preflop, one player raises, another goes all in, 2 other people call the all in......what am I going to do? Fold Aces preflop??

So I call the all ins, lose to one of them who had 78 unsuited.

But can never fold the Aces preflop, or you'll fold anything.

Wasn’t playing high stakes, or any stakes really, ie freeroll. Still a good story.

Made the nuts on the river on the button. Had 4 players go all in before it got to me. Easy increase in chips.

Another time I had pocket QQ and was at about 10 blinds in a MTT. Went all in and had 4 people call. They all had AKo. Nice way to get back into it.

I limped in with AA, flop came A-K-10, turn was a 10 and two opponents had K10...That was one of my first times playing cash at the Orleans casino in Las Vegas..
I still remember filling up racks with chips after that hand.

Quads over Quads - arghhhhh.

I had A7 in the early stages of a live tournament. flop comes 779. we are both betting at the flop. Turn comes 7 for my quads, and i am just trying to get as many chips as I can out of this hand. River comes a 9, and we are both now all-in. He show his pair of 9's. Quad 9's over my quad 7's.

Brutal - i feel like i have had quads maybe 4 times in 7 years. You certainly don't expect to lose with them.......

Thanks for bringing it up.

Funny, the first hand I thought of before I opened this thread was also a set over set over set hand in a home game about 20 years ago, Ks, Qs, and Js, $10-$20 Limit game with a five bet cap; five bets pre-flop and I'm proud to say that I folded my Js, knowing that at least one of them had flopped a set when it was bet and raised to me on that K-Q-J flop. They went five bets on the flop but the guy with the Ks was good enough to not re-raise when the Q hit the turn. I can't say the same about the guy with the Qs when the K hit the river. He may not have cared though since the game had a bad beat jackpot that was over $8200. I got 10% of it as the only other person to see the flop.
