I've been trying out a few sites recently

Its mega convenient to just jump in at pokerstars due to the sheer volume and that tends to be my bread and butter, But I've come across a couple of gems this month,

Sky Poker
Poker 770
aka william hill same software.
Im sure their are loadss of sites smaller ones with huge potential out there so that may be something I explore in the coming months. Does anyone play any less popular sites?

oh yea Anyway My Question was -

Do you think a winning player is a winning player or do you think game selection can hugely come into it since whatever your skill level you can seek out something worse - I know some do this but most players dont do this

I think for cash games sites like sky poker and william hill are great even 888 poker. Also any smaller sites lesser know for poker like gambling sites, the sit n go's might be slow reg but for cash games Im pretty confident theres a hell of alot of money to be made.
It just seems like a different world,

My honest thought is anyone who watches poker and seriously plays it will have seen pokerstars on tv/youtube and gone to pokerstars to play,
so most of the players on the small sites dont study poker they dont watch poker on tv, or pay much attention to what sites are best for game frequency etc.

interested if anyone applies this strategy 'donk hunting on bad sites'
or whether its just about volume at stars

I too generally play on only 3 or 4 sites regularly although I have tried several others.

I do see a fair few posts, on various forums, that talk about the players on site 'X' being particularly soft or Donkish/Fishy. 888 seems to crop up more than most.

Trouble is that I only seem to run into the lucky fish.

Some sites are casino orientated and will have other games like roulette and black jack. So some players may jump in for a quick game of poker and will be prepared to gamble a bit more as for them it's purely recreational. Sites like 888,Sky,Titan are also casino sites so i tend to concentrate on poker only sites and that means pokerstars for me.

Yea it can happen I run pretty bad yesterday on sky poker against fish, After cashing in a tournment I lost 3 consecutive sit n gos while playing well and picking up alot of dead money.
somehow The chips kept flinging back and forth it felt like it was waiting for me to play a hand adventually I did (play some good hands) I lost tosses to dominated hands pretty much at every shove I made in late position.

They will overall be losing players though and the solid players will be turning bad beats into +EV and adding lots of dead money from additional leaks regs dont make

I played for example at party poker and I was 10, in pokerstars too but it is very difficult to win a tournament, on other platforms are very good players, but if you know you got more chances to play ps that's my opinion.
