To start my mind is loaded with negativity. So many stupid stuff happens in my life at random times makes me feel like im an idiot. For me I wish i was 21 or older, unfortunately i am not and i am stuck on online poker for another year and a half. I would be making more money play live right now then losing all this money playing online. I personally think online poker takes more patience then live. On online poker people don't think and they don't feel, they just click away, especially when they have money. I think sometimes people play hands like they were playing blackjack against a dealer. I came to a conclusion about online poker.... the conclusion is different depending on what you are playing. I can't help you if you play RAZZ, Omaha, STUDs or HORSE. On the other hand for NL HOLDEM i sure can help, I THINK :(. The way i see it i can determine a good player and a bad player online even do i dont see their faces, wich is the first skill you have to learn. Put nots on them with a color that identifies what degree of stupid they are lol :joyman:. Next choose spots and caculate pot odds. Most importenly PLAY IT SAFE. I only speak for tourney or tournament players cash game another strategy. What i mean by PLAY IT SAFE, choose wich oppenent you want to do something stupid with. DONT LIMP IN WITH ACES AFTER THE BB, because when you lose, you only have yourself to blame. NOW ON THE OTHER HAND i like to raise any pot i am in if noone raises it. DONT CALL RAISES UNLESS IN SB OR BB or if you are carying a good drawing hands. AND FINALLY MOST IMPORTANT after analyzing a table, do something that will keep your brain working because if you keep folding and just looking at a screen for 2 hours, you might be brain dead for when the AK COMES AND SOMEONE RAISES you might go all in wich is not always the best thing to do. FOR NOW my fingers hurt so im gonna take a break.

THIS THREAD IS TO SPEAK YOUR MIND, HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU GUYS TO SEE WHAT IS YOUR POINT OF VIEW PLAYING TOURNAMENTS AND TOURNEYS. Fell free to speak about anything you want quite frankly lets rack this thread till it can't rack no more and by the time we reach couple pages youre game will improve  SAY THANK YOU LATER :D

If you are under 21 what makes you think you will do good in a casino, live games at home are a totally different thing, for one the quality of opponent at a home game is different to the quality players at a casino. imo.

well I play a lot of online tournys but really haven't entered many upfront, people facing games. A couple weeks ago, I entered a $500 tournament in my town and finished second...but (yeah there's always a but!) I didn't get anything. Not too many places nearby that I can go play where there are several payouts in a game...hmm..should I move to Las Vegas?...

I like playing against people like this. They're usually one of the first ones out in live tourneys

I would be making more money play live right now then losing all this money playing online. I personally think online poker takes more patience then live.

What makes you think online poker takes more patience than live? Live poker is at a much slower pace, and (in my experience) the good hands don't come up as often in live poker.

If you don't have the patience for poker.. then you probably shouldn't be playing with real money, unless you like parting with it.

i played a great deal of poker in the last 5 years about two of these years where live at a pokerclub and the rest is online because i moved to florida.
Patience in online poker is that hands are dealt fast and you see alot of hands. Its easy to click online and get carried away then playing live where you see everything and you have a better understanding of the table and what not. I think you need more patience online then live, because live you can bluff way more easier in a tournament then online tournaments.
