-depends what he exactly did that was cheating

-the dealer should do this but I would own up anyway

-contact the site in question with the player names and what you think was going on and they can look into it, I have had a result from doing exactly that

well ... On ultimate bet I think that when they had the 10-20 2 player tables, you could talk to a friend to play with you, lose, get out to refill , come back in and so on ... now they only have 200-400 tables where you need a minimum of 4000 chips to play

Cell phone conversations, text messaging, or instant messaging between players at the same table. They could discuss their cards, set up plays, etc. Or an individual who goes to the trouble and expense of running several independent phone lines with multiple computers to set up accounts under different names with different IP addresses. That person could then occupy more than one seat at the same table, creating a HUGE advantage over the other players by playing multiple hands. That would be very expensive, but a pro grifter could do it with great success.

Hmm .. instant messages or chat during the game between players .. I don't think you can call that cheating because you can't do anything about it and there is no rule on any poker site that says NO CHAT BETWEN PLAYERS !!!

So is realy hard to cheat online, maybe just turn the odds in your favore a little !!!

Actually, that would very much be cheating, cipisor. It's the same as leaning over to the guy sitting next to you in a casino and asking him what his cards are, and he tells you. The only difference is, the act cannot be observed by a dealer or boss when playing on the internet. However, if the online poker room picks up on the collusion by examining the betting patterns, which would be their only real way of knowing, those players would definitely be kicked permanently off the site. Happens all the time. The poker room reserves the right to prohibit anyone from playing. And, if the amount of money involved in the tainted games was large enough to justify the trouble, I imagine that federal criminal charges could be filed, as the fraud was carried out over phone lines under FCC regulation.

Logistics aside, I sincerely hope we haven't yet stooped to a low point where honesty and dishonesty are defined by whether or not we'll get caught.
