What is your biggest complaints about poker?

I was going to ask first about online poker, but wonder what complaints people have about online and offline (and what the general breakdown of online vs online players is).

I'm a programmer and am looking for ideas to build things! :)

Online, I don't think it is right for an absent player to be able to win a hand, or even play a hand. In live play, your cards are dead if you are not at the table. It should be the same online.

Well if an absent player wins a hand, it's mostly because the SB is just stupid and doesn't raise to take the free BB of the absent player.

Late registratio inn tournaments longer than a half hour should not be allowed. Some sites have late registration up to two hours, i dont think its fair

Yeah l hate late regs too, but then again, once in a while i am late for a game, and see that i can get reged still, but if the game is played more then 30 min, i will not reg, in it, its already too late in my opinion, other players already have a huge chip edge over you, so they can easily toy with you, what else what else, if u are a programmer, trey to come up with a poker software that would deal lot less bad beats and suckouts, i think that would be the greatest thing since sliced bread :D

If you lose quickly or continuously, it can crush you're spirit. Worst is not having a good time, but a lot of people only play for money and to pass the time so that doesn't apply.

The worst thing for me when playing live is, people taking excessive amounts of time to make a decision. Worst thing about playing online for me is, the excessive amount of time for late registration in MTT. Late registration should be like 10-15 minutes max, none of this 2 hour garbage.

The worst thing about poker is losing. The fact that you can play the hand completely right and still lose is no fun. Also, losing when your opponent had you beat, and you are not on a draw, sucks because it was like throwing money away the entire time. Even worse than that though is when you are way ahead and your opponent hits a miracle card to suck out. There is playing bad in general and losing a lot which hurts or losing right on the bubble thinking about what I could have done differently. Losing in general is the worst part of poker but that is also what makes it worth playing to me.

I do not like to re-buy tournaments. No equality for players with different funds. Who has more money and he has more opportunities to get into the prizes. I do not like it when a poker room changes the picture and layout of the main lobby. The player gets used to the lobby. Changes strain. Bad checked when registering an account. There is an account vulgar.

late registration more than half hour should be restricted

and number of members should also be less in micro level of tournaments.

The worse thing about online poker is the amount of time it takes up from our real life. With the 5 hour late registrations, it's been getting worse and worse. It's too bad sickos like me can't resist.

Bad players getting lucky!

It's not so much that I mind bad players. In fact early on in tournaments, I love it when they try push you off the best hand with an all-in bluff on the river for 4x the pot. And I was wondering how I was going to get max value out of top set. Of course I feel very different about them later on in the tournament when they are hitting runner-runner suck outs on me left and right. Phil Hellmuth, I feel your pain.

I don't so much mind bad players. But I hate when bad players get lucky.

For me, the worst part are the inevitable hands. This speaks to my desire to not feel like my life (or any part of it including poker) is pre-determined. I assume this is the main reason (other than fairness) that people are so caught up in the notion of rigging/cheating.

So something as simple as AA vs KK where the board never gets that high and it is relatively dry, so both players feel confident in their holdings. Online poker is it pretty common to see this be aipf depending on stacks. But I guess the point is that, unless the loser somehow plays it really well, it is typical to see huge hands, possibly all in.

This holds true even when the KK gets super lucky and hits the K and the AA assumes they are draining AK. This is less true if the A hits, unless, of course, the K hits too and both like their sets.

Anybody else feel this way? Like you would have been better off if you had walked away from the table and never been in the hand.

I think the worst thing is outplaying someone until the river and losing or getting it in good and losing. That can tilt some people and it can get on the nerves of even the best of players. You can do everything right and still lose in Poker. That's the life though. But overall you should be +EV long term, but it can have it's frustrating short term results.

Having to know and understand math somewhat to get really good at it. Math is hard.
