Poker player is made , not born , and many of which today are considered the best in the world , have had to pass during the years before his stardom . The question is inevitable , what did for a living Phil Ivey , Daniel Negreanu , Phil Hellmuth , David " Devilfish " Ulliot , Bertrand Grospellier Phil Laak or " Elky" '? Here , the answers.

Negreanu , for example, worked in his native Toronto in Subway , making sandwiches. How about that?

Ivey In case it gets worse . One of the most highly regarded players in the world was relegated to a room next to a boiler and was responsible for attending telephone calls Police Syndicated . Incredible but true . Anyway , good old Phil already had clear their skills and was responsible for co-workers peel in private games , as confirmed by bluff Europe magazine .

Hellmuth , before conquering Las Vegas and bracelet made with Main Event world series of poker ® , was a university with acne and to remove some dollars, working as a caregiver in the Primate Center in Madison , Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, Grospellier has a particular history . Just started the millennium , " Elky" was professional video game player in South Korea . It was a world famous StarCraft Star and finished second in the World Cyber Games 2001.

Dave " Devilfish" Ulliot was the craziest of all. His trouble with the law culminated in a sentence of nine months in prison in Leeds. Luckily his wife helped him settle down and , since married to the present, have shared a pawnshop .

A few years before Phil Laak graduated in mechanical engineering work performed "Repo Man" , the person in charge of seizing cars that are not paid in full. "At the time I thought it was the best job I could imagine , says Laak - until a child broke the window of my car and threatened to shoot me . 've Never been so scared in my life. "

I feel that a lot of poker players come from a mathematical backround, like engineering, accounting, physics, and any math; but not all of them of course.
That's a pretty funny story about Laak and the repo man. lol

I saw in a documentary about Phil Ivey, I believe there is a version of it on YouTube... something like a day with PI, that he used to work at MCDonalds, running straight from there to Atlantic City with his paycheck. It drove his mom nuts. There was never any mention of him working in a telephone boiler room in that documentary.
